Dude's a tool.

The charge he was in court on the day before this incident was when a cop tried to pull him over, he weaved in and out of traffic and momentarily lost the cop. When the cop caught up to him, in the projects he grew up in, he was quickly walking about from his blue Porsche (you know, a ubiquitous vehicle in the hood) and tried to deny ownership.

June 2011. A felony charge against Britt in New Jersey was downgraded to careless driving and a $478 fine. This followed an April 12 arrest on charges of eluding a police officer, lying to an officer hindering apprehension, and obstructing government function following a stop. Police said Britt tried to elude them after they clocked his Porsche going 71 mph in a 50 mph zone.

February 2011. Theft-by-deception charges against Britt in New Jersey were downgraded to misdemeanor level. Two bail bonds companies accused him of not following through on a pledge in court to pay bail for a friend who was arrested in January 2010. That $12,500 payment was made earlier this year.

October 2010. Britt was involved in a bar room fight at a Nashville club. Police conducted a lengthy investigation, but he was not charged.

August 2010. Britt received a received a misdemeanor citation in Nashville for driving on a revoked license. Police said they pulled him over because his car’s window tinting was too dark.

January 2010. New Jersey police suspended Britt's license after an arrest for outstanding traffic warrants. He paid $865 and was released.

Ironically most Hobo Kin are in Tennessee

Aw man, you are GOOD!

Earlier in this thread, when I was trying to make something funny out of the situation, I was only thinking about the word Hobo and never saw how to make the word Kin tie into it.

You, sir, are in a league all by yourself. I am very impressed. :photos:

Titans plan to discipline Britt

NFL teams have a sliding scale of justice.

If a fourth receiver was arrested six times in two years, well, he wouldn’t still be on the team by the time a sixth arrest. If he has potential to be one of the best receivers in the league, teams will let things slide if the arrests are relatively minor.

Kenny Britt is that talented. NFL Network’s Albert Breer reports that the Titans plan to retain Britt, but they are expected to “come down hard” on him when the lockout ends. It’s possible the team could suspend him before the league takes action.

This could be a telling early moment of the Mike Munchak era. Publicly, he isn’t saying much about Britt yet. Privately he may plan to depart some from the Jeff Fisher’s track record of handling discipline.

Perhaps the most telling and surprisig statement in Breer’s article regarded Britt’s stature on the team.

“The Titans view Britt as the second best player, behind Chris Johnson, on their entire roster, and aren’t ready to give up on him yet,” Breer writes. “The club considers him a potential top-five type of receiver, but also recognizes the obvious — that Britt simply hasn’t grown up and out of the reputation he had as an immature kid coming out of Rutgers.”

Britt undoubtedly has the talent to dominate. But that ranking puts him ahead of tackle Michael Roos and cornerback Cortland Finnegan, who have both been first team All Pros.

That is the kind of talent that could allow Britt to reach double digits in arrests before he runs out of chances.

I was too lazy to find out. :nolisten:

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay, New Jersey police! :kingkong:

Well, now he IS going to have to deal with the Tennessee police ...

Titans' Britt has two outstanding arrest warrants in Tennessee

"Upon his return to Tennessee, it is believed or hoped that he will come surrender himself on these and be served," Aaron said. "If he does not, upon his return to the state he is subject to arrest."

I guess some people were just born criminals. It doesn't matter what environment they are in or how much money they have.

That went out the window the second the words "Jake Locker" were uttered on draft day.

He's someone else's dream come true now.

He's a huge upgrade over Locker, plus VY and Collins is on their way out. Keep Locker as a backup and take the next Peyton Manning. No reason to trade the pick if they end up #1, which I think is a real possibility for the Titans.

Kenny Britt causes a social media stir

Just when we thought we might actually go a few days without any Kenny Britt headlines, the volatile Tennessee Titans receiver has caused a stir in the social media world, with a post on Facebook saying he would retire from the NFL over anger at Commissioner Roger Goodell, another post recanting that statement, and then yet another post saying his Facebook page was hacked.

Brendan Prunty of the Newark Star-Ledger, who covered Britt at Rutgers, spread the word on Twitter of Britt’s bizarre posts. (Prunty told PFT via e-mail that Britt does update his own Facebook page regularly.)

Britt’s first Facebook post was short and to the point: “Retiring from the NFL. ******* You Goddell.”

Presumably, that would be a reaction to Britt’s perception that his multiple arrests would lead to a suspension under the league’s personal-conduct policy, although preemptively retiring due to an assumption that he’s going to be suspended would be rather odd.

However, a second Facebook post just 25 minutes later offered an about-face.

“Change of HEart,” Britt wrote. “My family is always here for me. I made mistakes and i am sorry i am going to change and become a better person and mentor for all my young fans. I will accept any penalty like a man. The road beings Sept 11 in Jacksonville. ill be ready!!!”

And then in a third Facebook post, Britt said the previous two weren’t from him.

“my fbook was hacked with those past 2 status’s,” Britt wrote. “i am not retiring and do not have any hate toward the commissioner.”

And that concluded an odd hour of social media from Kenny Britt, whose hacking claim sounds about as believable as Anthony Weiner’s.

Britt claims that he was hacked 3 months ago. If you know know that you are hacked.........you change your account. On a side note, Britt, it has been discovered, has hired Casey Anthony as his PR advisor.:kitten:

No discipline for Britt from NFL

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP)-NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has told Kenny Britt(notes) and the Tennessee Titans that he will not punish the receiver for his arrests during the lockout.

League spokesman Greg Aiello confirmed to The Associated Press on Saturday night that the commissioner has decided not to impose discipline at this time.

“The commissioner restated his expectation that Britt will be responsible for his actions going forward and noted that future incidents will lead to appropriate discipline,” Aiello wrote in an email.
