Morency not being sat out shows Capers is not a good coach.

Did anyone notice that Morency would run directly into the first guys down the field. I don't believe he ever made it past the 25yrd line. Capers should have sat him on the bench after his second attempt. Why would you not try someone else. Come on. We must get rid of Capers. This is one of many problems with him. He believes that if he had a chance to win, he was doing his job. Unfortunately when the game starts it's 0-0 and that means Capers was in the game and had a chance to win.

I just cant believe we went into the season with only 1 person that can return kicks. On top of that.. that 1 person, Mathis, is completley unproven. Morency is NOT a kick returner! Chalk one up for another great coaching and personell decission by our front office.

Here's a question, why the heck did we even draft Morency? I mean, weren't there other players available who could have filled spots that we desperately needed?

Because he has great running skills. I mean get all upset over the team and all but Morency is the least of our problems.

DD has been hurt a lot and obviously they didn't feel like Hollings or Wells could get the job done. Of course, Wells was the one to come in during the game. It really makes me wonder if Casserly and Capers are on the same wavelength.

BTW, when was the last time the Texans sent 6-7 on the QB? I wouldn't mind seeing us try it once or twice a game.

I know Morency is the least of our problems, but I am just curious why we needed another runningback that early in the draft. I guess whats done is done.

come on now.. we're stacked with depth everywhere except runningback! No need for offensive linemen, tight ends, line backers or defensive backs. Nope... we're good to go everywhere but runningback!

My thoughts exactly. Hehe.

I too thought Morency would be used as a change of pace RB. They didn't even try him.

We have SIX active tight ends on the roster according to the Chronicle. One of those spots could have gone to a true kick returner like Reggie Swinton. I'm sure Palmer had something to do with that. Off topic but I hope Pendry scraps that e tight end package that averages -1 yd per rushing attempt.

Swinton returned 3 punts for a 6.3 avg yesterday.

On kick-offs they had nearly identical stats...

Swinton - 4 20.8
Morency - 5 20.2

Hey you are putting water on my fire. Oh well, Swinton would still be my pick, with his experience. Thanks for the stats. :shower:

I would venture to guess that Mathis should be ready to go by the Cincy game...I believe he practiced with the team this past Friday and was a game time decision...

Anybody said any thing about P. Buc sucking so bad that he didn't even want to tackel the HB . I love the fact that D.Rob laid it on him big time on the side line. He is the biggest bust so far. This guy is a joke. I have only seen one pass thrown in the direction of D. Rob in the first two games. All in the direction of P.Buc and he didn't make one stop. I think we need to put Coleman back at corner and CC. Brown and Earl at safty full time.

speaking of Glenn Earl... anyone know if and when he's going to be ready to go??
Robinson, Coleman, Brown and Earl isnt sound too bad right now.

That could actually help out. We need something. Why we got rid of Glenn I will never know.

Well, by trading for Buchanon it forced Glenn out.

So in essence we did get rid of Glenn.
I tend to disagree but to each his own. Personally, if Glenn had stayed he would probably be starting in the Cincy game instead of being the third in Dallas.
