What will be the surprises of training camp?

I'm going to say that one or more of the lower tier WR's suddenly appears on the radar screen and pushes Bradford and Gaffny. I think this is going to be an exciting race at training camp. I think a couple of the younger players have as much speed as Bradford and they have better hands. AJ becomes a bocking WR for DD.

BJ becomes the 2nd TE replacing BM.

Our O-line as planned works extemely well and becomes the talk of the NFL.

Carr looks very impressive, because of the time he has to see the field. However, the run becomes the dominating part of the offense behind DD and the O-line. The O-line doesn't still block as well they should for the passing formations.

DD looks very impressive running behind the revised O-line featuring our TE's and WR AJ.

Our D which we think on paper looks great has a number of problems and is still a year or two away. I hope not, but I think this is going to be the case. If they prove me wrong, hey, I would be happy.

I think that several rookies will make a big splash in training camp to the surprise of many and competion will be keen.

I think JJ is going to be pushed by one or more of the rookies.

Look for surprises other than the known ones on the defenisve side of the ball. I expect some of the younger players to step up to the plate big time knocking vetern starters out of the line up.

All in all, it could be very exciting to watch. If all of the above happens, then we are a lot stronger than most people think.

I'm also very excited about the changes in the coaching ranks and I think a number of the changes will be the result of new blood and a new way of thinking through the way we handle a number of our weaknesses.

The biggest surprise would be our revamped O-line. I believe evryone will be surprised in the NFL as Ibar harry said.

This will be the most crucial element of our offense. The o-line will give Carr more time to run through his options and give the WRs more time to get open. DD and TH will have better rushing performances and everything will gel together very nicely.

I'm expecting the Texans offense to be the better ones in the NFL.

1. robair smith comes into his prime as a pass rusher
2. coleman becomes the new rod woodson of the nfl, minus the injuries
3. carr ends the arguement for good over who was the best QB in that draft
4. DD comes in bigger and faster
5. one of the texans finally makes news that gets on sportscenter (good news)

Offense - Dave Ragone shows dramatic improvement & pushes Tony Banks for the backup QB spot.

Defense - Demarcus Faggins looks like a starting CB going against AJ & Company.

Special Teams - Jermaine Lewis (no, not that one) makes a run at a roster spot as a gunner/punt blocking ace.

1. DD will thrive with the new run blocking scheme.
2. AJ comes into his own and has 10 TD's this year and 1,300 yards.
3. Revamped defense puts us up in the top 10 defenses in the NFL.
4. Sloan Thomas makes a push and is the KR/PR.
5. Babin explodes and records 10 sacks.

1.Babin shows ROTY potential as his pass rushing skills are dominant
2. JJ Moses secures his spot as KR/PR and turning into the next Dante' Hall
3. Bradford/Johnson duo emerge as the scariest threat in the AFC
4. Matt Stevens playing for Tennesee, misses a tackle and the Texans win 21-17

Tony Hollings will be the surprise of Camp :hmmm:

Tho O-line will become known as the "House of Pancakes" :jam:

Another surprise I think will be Jammal Lord will do well! He is a good Athlete. I think he can make the adustments. But then again I always lose when I go to Vegas lol:

Surprises? Hmm...

The raw ability of Jason Babin a natural OLB in the 3-4; how smooth the transition of Coleman to safety; and how ready Seth Wand is to start at LT; and the recovery of Seth Payne.

Those would all be good surprises! A bad one would be:
Davis retires because he likes "reefer."

To most of you there will be a few surprises.

Hollings will not be able to overcome DD because he can't pick up the blitz as he should and fumbles the ball to much for Capers to hand over the reins.

Babin will have head spinning from all the terminology and will be lost on many plays and won't have more than 6 sacks.

Wand won't completely be able to handle the job at LT and Pitts will have to move back to that spot. Wand will at least need another year.

Ragone is sinking deeper and deeper on his own island as he can't get the complete grasp at the pro level.

Coleman, Robinson, Glenn will double the output of interceptions than last year.

i personally think that Babin will have about 9-11 sacks.
I saw Babin on NFL network last night when he was at the combine. The guy is huge, and from what I saw ran pretty damn fast in sprints.

Alot of guys look good in shorts running between cones! Lets see what he does in Pads!

Boy I sure hope SES is wrong about Babin, Hollings, Wand, and whoever else he might have had any negative vibes about. We need these guys to step up if we're gonna imkprove over last year.

I am interested in the cuts that the teams makes. This will be the first year that players who have made some decent contribution in the past may see the door.
