Power Rankings Out.

And it's not very pretty, as to be expected.

29 (22) Texans - 0-1-0 - When your No. 1 WR catches three passes for 18 yards, your No. 1 RB rushes for 48 yards and your QB only throws for 70 yards, it's going to be a very long day.

It's always good to know that no matter how bad you play, the Titans will always be below you...

..and the Cowgirls get a #8 for a win against a Gate-less SD team.

Week 2 Power Rankings are always a joke way before the end of a season. Half the score is based on "paper", which is bad enough by itself, but the other half is based on one game - so there's not even a consistent method of judgement, but some sort of strange *******ization of two distorted measures.

ESPN is always biased towards us, but at this point in time we deserved the ranking.

I bet if we beat the Steelers, we'll climb up to #26.

no doubt. The east coast dominated media love their Tuna, even when it is stinky as it has been since the late 80's. Can't stand Parcells and his hot air.

Steelers will more than likely make the mistake of looking past you. You guys are probably going to beat the **** out of them. :thumbup :respect:

i think we need to adopt detroits drafting style. Use all our first round picks on offense, most likely another reciever

The ranking is more than fair. Our offense looked like it didn't even belong on the same field as the Bills' defense. Granted, it was a good defense, but if the Texans are building a team that can contend for the playoffs they need to at least look respectable in losses.

I hope they can turn things around this week. I'll be there...

If we beat the Steelers, we'll jump to like 15. Beating the Steelers after that embarrassment against the Bills would he HUGE.

I'm finished with :homer: no way the Texans will beat the Steelers. of the teams rated lower all have a 50:50 chance of winning, Cleveland can beat the Packers, Tennessee has Baltimore @ home and Chicago always plays the Lions tough in the black & blue division. hence after week two the Texans could be the only team in the NFL without a win, then go into a bye week :goodnight

I thought we would be ranked lower. The poll was kind to us, but you can't trust them. Let's face it: with only 16 games played, rankings almost don't count, especially not until 8/10 games inot the season.

Not that I really care about these but here's CBS Sportline Power Rankings

29 Houston Texans
If the heat wasn't on this staff before Sunday, it sure is now. The offense was awful. What is wrong with David Carr?

29... Yikes. So now the Texans are considered one of the worst teams in the NFL by a lot of the major media outlets. We have fallen far... fast.

Due to the magic of a playoff system that does not need media input, these polls are mostly used as development for future sportswriters since they have zero bearing on who makes the playoffs and draft position.

I refuse to quote any poll or sportwriter whose beat is not for the local team when it comes to the NFL.

It was not pretty on Sunday, but when the season is over I expect us to be on the cusp of a playoff position.

After watching that pile of Cow dung masquerading as an offense, I would put us 33rd. We don't deserve to be in the regular rankings after that display.

You guys want an accurate article? This one accurately says that James Allen is doubtful for Sunday's game. That is very true.

Look at injuries, three quarters down on the left side. I laughed.
