big tv's/my assessment of the team

first of all, one of you guys with the big tv's thats able to see the wr's run their patterns down field need to invite me over. that sure beats the heck out of my set up. my tv pretty much stays with the ball.

about the team, im starting to get a little worried(as most of us are). im not rdy to call for the coaches heads but im getting close. if capers wants to run the ball and win with defense he should not have drafted a qb then wr with his first 2 number 1 picks. since he went that direction he should have finished the job and got a few more solid offensive players. it seems right now we got half an offense and half a defense.

im not sure about carr. i know he doesnt have a lot of time to throw. but i dont know if he has anywhere to throw the ball. i do know that every pass he threw against the bills there were defenders all around. so either he finds the guy most covered and throws to him or there was not a lot of people open.

we need a few more weapons on each side of the ball. although the defense is closer than the offense to being good.

what worries me the most is the coaching philosiphy. it seems that our coaches or unable to adapt to unexpected events. if the game plan isnt working they keep trying it till the game is over. these guys dont do well if something unexpected comes up. just look at how poorly dom uses replay. or some very suspect clock managment over the years. it seems that dom is a planner. problem with that is you cant plan for every situation. dom needs a great o-line and a great defense and he would be a very solid coach. we dont have neither and he's not doing a good job of adapting to what we have.
hope he figures something out soon.

I love the Indiana Jones DVD in front of the pictures on your DVD player

Did you guys see the Texans game in hd widescreen 16:9? It really sucks that they did not have the game in widescreen here, i have time warner cable and i watched the game in hd, but the game was not widescreen, it makes a huge difference because you can actually see more of the field. I flipped over to fox and the cowboys were in widescreen? whats the deal with channel 11?

I'm diggin' the Tower of Power (is that actually FOUR electronic devices stacked on top of one another, or is that a camera trick?).

Wow. Dude, you can not be in NY. With the simulated wood grain paneling, and with the multiple electronic devices stacked on top of each other, you MUST be from Texas. I'm thinking East Texas...big thicket country. Long live the mullet!

Do you need an alternative power source, such as a dedicated diesel generator so the rest of the house can have power when you're running all those devices?

Sweeeeeeeeet.

That pic is 2 years old. I just recently bought a new house, and my walls are now textured white, so you can't keep laughing at my paneling. Actually, I lived in Niagara Falls (just 20 miles north of Buffalo) with my grandparents for a few years before my mother got a place in Buffalo, and they had wood paneling. I guess I have always been fond of it because of good memories. But I have added a bigger sub (3 10 inch subs, with 750 watts instead of 1 12 with 250) and will take a newer pic of the new wall (minus wood paneling) if anyone cares. I need to update my site really.

I live in North Carolina now, not Texas ;). I spent 10 years in So Cal (Southern California) too, but I am a Buffalo boy at heart.

Mullet? Never. But I got long hair. I grew up before the mullet was in style.

5 actually, and 1 of them is a power conditioner. I take my home and car audio very seriously, and I assure you there is more money invested on that wall than anybody has in purchase price or their cars here. All Pioneer Elite, Monster Power Conditioner (in answer to the alternative power source), and more money in cable than I want to admit. I also build all my own speakers with custom crossovers and stuff. crank_it_up on here can tell you I know my audio... I know him from an audio forum.

Yes, I built the boxes, added the veneer, added 15 coats of hand brushed lacquer and hand sanded and polished them. Everything by myself.

Holy Cow!!!!!! what a set up....DAMNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with you Markbeth in some theory to what you said. The Texans need to get rid of Chris Palmer. The man doesn't know how to run an offense. I went to the Texans vs Raiders game and I don't know about any of yall but I could tell what the offense (Texans) was running and I could tell the defense (Raiders) was blitzing I mean come on Chris Palmer don't run the ball. Call an audible to a quick slant to inside. Chris Palmer is not able to run the offense so get rid of him.

I agree that Carr is not a great QB. He is ok and can get the job done. I believe he can be great if he gets the protection. But you markbeth when it comes to the passing game the QB is always throwing in predection to where the reciever will be.

I say give Capers 1 year and if he doesn't produce. Then off with him. I am not sure about anyone else here but if but if the game against the Bills is to tell us of what is to come then I say #1 pick in the 2006 Draft. And we better take OL or WR. I like Andre Johnson but if we don't get any help then he will demand a trade to somewhere where he will have a chance. to actually win.

LETS GO TEXANS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't even watch the Texans out here (my building doesn't face to the east to pick up the sat signals so I couldn't get the Sunday Ticket package) and they don't even have the local channels in HD here either so the only game I get to see in HDTV is the ESPN Sunday night game.

btw I was really pissed I had to wake up at 6:45am on a Sunday morning to listen to the CF of a game last week. Not sure if I want to do to the same this Sunday.

you guys have killed my thread.

You asked about a big TV... If you live near me, I get the broadcasts in widescreen on a ig TV... provided you bring the beer and it doesn't interfere with the Bills game, you would be welcome to stop by.

When is someone on this message board going to figure out this is not Chris Palmers offense we are seeing. It is Joe Pendry's. The offense has gone downhill ever since he came on board. It is obvious that Joe and Chris are not on the same page and Joe is winning. Palmers offense would be more wide open
