Crazy Mock

Wow. Sometimes I see mocks and my first thought is that the guy is trying harder to be different than anything else. Interesting though.

what do you think when somebody references or quotes a popular analyst as his source to vindicate picking a player where he/she does?

Well I don't really have that much of a problem with any mock draft. If my site had Tyson Alualu going to the Jags in the first round last year people would have told us our mock was bad. Just every now and then I'll see a mock where it looks like the author cares more about being off the wall than giving an honest projection.

There's just no way Cameron Heyward is selected before Quinn. I could see Quinn being the 4th DE drafted, but not 6th.

I agree. Just note specifics, display some ability to breakdown tape, use measurable's, anything that be can used as evidence to support your conclusions & I'll have no problem with your mock or anybody else's for that matter.

Speaking of Tyson Alualu, what about Cameron Jordon? In you latest mock you have him selected #18 to Chargers after New England selects Watt #17. But in your top 100 you have Carmeron Jordon ranked #9 & JJ Watt #32?

I agree with what you sy in your first paragraph. I have no problem with any mock drafts that are done by people that know what they are talking about.

As for the Jordan-Watt thing, there are a couple of factors. There are two of us so our rankings are a blend of our opinions. The other factor is just us liking players more (or less) than everyone else. That's why we give an "expected value" and an "our value" in our position rankings. For example, neither of us would draft Adrian Clayborn until the 4th round, but we concede that he will probably actually be gone before that.
