The sky is NOT falling

We lost the first game...bad....and it sucks. Its not the end of the world. Yes, there is alot of work to do, but things can get better. Way too many people are calling for Carr's head and honestly the problem isn't with Carr. As far as personel goes our only major concern is on the offensive line. Find a way to plug the holes and you get:

1) More protection for your QB who in turn has more time to think and make good decisions
2) Running back can actually gain more than 3 yards a carry
3) Receivers have a chance to get open while QB is looking for his best option.

The coaching decisions to punt when we were down so much were what they were.....poor decisions. I don't think coaching has everything to do with yesterday's loss, but it played a part. Our main problem is the one that has not been resolved in 4 years of existence. Get a line that can block and the Texans will be a great team.

Until then its :goodnight

We should wait till the season is over to decide the fate of the GM and coaches.

Get a line that can block and we'll have an average team. Get a linebacking crew that can cover and tackle, a pass rush and a QB that when given time makes good reads and throws and we'll have a better team. Get all that PLUS another quality reciever PLUS a dependable 2nd RB and we'll have a wild card team. Get all that PLUS leadership from the coaches, a desire to win, and Ray Lewis fire in your a** and you'll have a great team. Hope it happens one day :texflag: I'll be there through bad and worse waiting :brickwall

yeah, the sky is not falling...but...I feel the sprinkles! :D

Seriously, though, this is not the end of the world.

I expect to see a huge improvement next week. If nothing else, FIRE IN THE BELLIES of our players would be a good start.

I just don't know if any one player has it in his DNA on this squad but I hope they prove me wrong Sunday. I know I"M fired up!

Going into the season, a record of 9-7 was a realistic expectation. It was also expected that we would lose our first two games. So prepare yourself, next week may be as bad as this.

But Buffalo & Pittsburg both have top ranked defenses.

If we can go into the bye-week without injuries, we will still be sitting pretty for a sucessful season.

And, remember that last season the Steelers backups throttled the Bills starters. Beat them like they owned them.

And, the Steelers owe you fellas one.

Here is hoping for an injury free game.

Yes, the sky is falling for you. It's only going to get worse. Wait till you play a good D. Jags # 1 :yahoo:

We just played the #2 D and we play the #1 D next week. (Granted, it's all based on last years stats.)

Thanks though for the Jags D getting me 16 points in FF.

I wanted us to be competitive at least in the 1st game against a playoff calliber team being the "P" word has been thrown around the Texan practices since middle of last year. I don't care if it was against the 1st or 2nd team defense because if you are going to throw the "P" word around you better be able to back it up because IF we got to the 2nd season, you are facing teams like the Bills.. I am sure this team (the Texans) are going to show up come next Sunday and play focused and better.. IF not and they play like last week.. That means we are more than one or two impact players away to being a good team (and that is probably more than our next draft will produce)

My neighbor is in the hospital, a good size chunk of sky hit him pretty hard this morning.

LOL

I agree. We'll get'em this week. If not this week then in our next game. If not then, well we have to win sooner or later!!!!

Yeeehaww Go Texans

I was talking about jags D

Yeah, that's kind of obvious. What's not obvious is why you would want to talk about them. Is that the same Jags D that we hung 41 points on last season?

The thread is about the Texans, not your lousy defense.

Troll during your alloted week(s) please, this is Steeler Fan's week.
