Will the Texans ever change or modify their Uniforms?

We need pink helmets so every month can be breast cancer awareness month! Why limit it to just October? Plus, pink will look pretty sharp on our boys. Not to mention, we'll be unique!
 
Dont they have bigger things to worry about than their uniform?...... Unless of course same excrement in a different wrapper is the kinda things we as fans are after.

When the worst thing on the field is our uniform, I will be one thrilled SOB

I think they have to many different combos as is for such a young team but....... I wouldnt oppose it as long as it isnt "the biggest change they have made in franchise history".

Sorry, I am still a bit bitter bout this past season.:pissed:
 
our logo and colors will prob be the same for at least 80 years o well forever
 
Can anyone imagine Texans contacting NIKE? I know they won't but a change would do them good. Not that current uniforms are bad, just could have a fresher, new look that impacts play on field for better. Maybe? Along with better 3-4 defense. New coaching assinging players in position to succeed & key personal aquisitions. Yeah, I know sounds just like new uniforms. After a new bargining agreement passes....
 
I'm confused by the question.

Don't the Texans modify their uniforms every week?

I work with a guy who says he can't root for them because any team who can't figure out what their uniforms look like aren't worth rooting for.
 
I love our gear. I think a red helmet could be cool. Or just red pants with a white jersey. I do not like the all red.

I was going to use a Vah jj, but felt it might've been unappropriate.
 
It'd be nice if they went to the green and yellow unis and logo that have been floated.

I don't know if those were legitimately in consideration for the team or if it's an internet urban legend, but I definitely prefer those to the red, white, and blue theme we have going on.

Of course the Texans will modify their uniforms. They make $$$$ off of the changes.

So does every other team in the league.

Why do you think there's a Liberty white day and a Battle Red day?

Uniform sales to the fans is big business.
 
It has nothing to do with supporting them but I never liked the helmets. I think they are too cartoonish. JMO. The jersey combos are good. Just not a helmet fan.
 
I think keeping the same logo is important.

Packers, Steelers, and Cowboys have brand power because of their logo. The short-term payoff for switching logos (selling more jerseys) doesn't outweigh what I think is more important: Long-term branding power.

The thing that irks me about the Rockets and Astros is the constant flip-flopping over their logo and jersey designs. I prefer the old school version, and feel it could be tweaked to take on a modern look. The blue pin-stripe jerseys with the cartooney rocket ship were THE WORST. Looked like kids pajamas at Wal-Mart. The current Rockets stuff is OK. I just want them to switch and stick with it. The Astros stuff is basically dumb, IMO. Doomed from the beginning.

With the Texans, I would like them to just stay the same.

In contrast with what Frog thinks, I actually think the Texans helmet logo is the strongest part of the whole ensemble. It involves the State Flag and an iconic part of Texas culture: Cattle/ranching/western life.

The worst NFL logo or design concept, IMO, is the Titans. It's hilarious.
 
I think we should put blood on the steers horns......make it like bloody ...like Toro just stabbed the opponent and drew blood.....hardcore......

I think the should put the steer symbol on the on both sides of the sleeves above the jersey numbers.....

Instead of white numbers......use red or blue numbers.....

Even though teams performance may not agree...it's NOT a steer.

Eh, I like the idea of white helmets to commemorate the anniversary, but, it would be very hollow if we bomb on the field again.

Screw the marketing, can a brother get a few more wins up in here???

I know that Billy Bob won't go for the change...and not sure he should. But I sure think that they'd look mighty fine STOMPIN' THE FIRE outta Tennessee wearing these new duds!

Yeah, sorry man, but Columbia Blue left town a few years back. Remember? Yeah, I still hold a grudge. Those are enemy colors to my way of thinking.

Yeah...I can see that.
But the Titans colors aren't Columbia Blue...and I could, honestly, never hate the Oilers. Too many awesome memories.

I know it's over and done...still think it's pretty cool unis.

I would have loved it if Fud would have left us the name & history. But he dint. and Columbia Blue will always be associated with Fud, so it is not acceptable to me. I followed the Oiler's since shortly after their inception, but they are dead and gone now.

It's late and I know my brain isn't working as well as it would be early in the day, but I really think that if we had initially gone with those uniforms we might not have sucked as much as we have.

I was just a kid when the Oilers left town, but I still feel connected to them because I do remember seeing them play.

I think those uni's would have given us a sense of history and pride that we don't really have right now.
