Trade advice needed

I have a team loaded with talented RBs (there are 8 people in my league, by the way).
I have Shaun Alexander, Tiki Barber, Rudi Johnson, Warrick Dunn, and DeShaun Foster. Steven Davis hasn't been picked up either and if he turns out to start of Foster, he could be easily acquired. Anyways, my WRs are less than stellar in comparison. I currently have Reggie Wayne, Chris Chambers, and Ashlie Lelie. I was offered a trade of Rudi Johnson for Javon Walker. Should I do it? I think Johnson is expendable in this situation but any advice would be appreciated. thanks

Definately take that trade. You won't be able to use Rudi much anyway with the guys you have at RB, and Walker would be an upgrade at WR.

Rudi is your #2 and Tiki would be the #3. It depends on your league scoring, but with those WRs, giving up Rudi for Javon might be too much of a risk.

You should upgrade your WRs, but use Tiki as trade bait, not Rudi. Dunn and Foster are similar in that they are half of a RB tandem, so they might not give you the consistent balance needed in the event you lose a starting RB like SA, RJ or TB.

Your 3 WRs are solid, but RB value is a lot higher than WRs. Look at Michael Clayton (WR -TB) last year. Who would have thought he'd be a top-15 WR? And I doubt many people even drafted him.

So my final answer is no...do not trade Walker for Rudi. You are giving up too much in terms of fantasy football value.

i have to say that tiki is much more valuable then rudi....look at total yards gained last year, and tiki is far and away the better back. He gets recieving and rushing yards, and honestly, who else do the giants have?

So age and OL is not a factor? What happened last year for Tiki is not typical Tiki play, plus with BJacobs, the Goal Line TDs will not be there.

Rudi is in a better offense and has a better OL, plus he is in the start of his prime, unlike Tiki.

What is the point system for RB's and WR's?

I would take the trade just because your WR's suck as a group. But then again, if shaun, or Tiki goes down, what will you do?

There is bound to be a lot of talent available at WR on the waiver wire. Don't give up a quality back.

I would not do the trade...Your WRs are solid. In fantasy, i have found if you don't have one of the top 5 or Wrs about have of the people will say you need help. You do not.

BTW, Tiki Barber has been a solid fantasy guy for the last three years. He has not missed a game, rushed for over 1,200, and caught at least 50 passes over that time. His TDs will jump all over the place, but as your 2nd/3rd you can not do much better even in an 8 team league.

I hope you didn't listen to me. It looks like Walker has an ACL injury and is expected to miss the rest of the season.
