How is it...

Jagsbch

Broncos can beat the Texans without their seasoned starter at QB or RB with an interim coach and a rookie at QB and the Jaguars can't? Could it be that they did not draft Tebow?

Tebow racked up 299 and 3 Td's on the Chargers.

That is a total of over 800 yards and 7 TD's in only his first 3 starts.

Jaguars Failed:kubepalm:

Dude it is like the origin of the universe. Some things just can't be explained. We'll more than likely get another round of the same thing in 2011.

Are all the fans in Jax hating the Jags for not drafting Tebow and calling them NFL FSU? Just curious, not that anything like that has ever happened here.

I still can't believe the Jags passed on Tebow for a mediocre DT. How's their run defense anywyas?

Tebow could have been the savior of the Jags, created a legion of fans overnight and developed behind Garrard as a similarly skilled QB. Yeah he might not get them a super bowl, but at least the team would be profitable.

He just wasn't the dreamy bad boy that Matt Jones was. You know the girls prefer the Edward-types.

The Jags tried to use common sense in not drafting a guy that was not an "NFL QB". As Einstein once said: "Common sense is the collection of prejudices one acquires by the age 18."

Besides, Alualu (from what I've seen and heard) has turned out fairly well. And they didn't need Tebow for selling tickets as they had no blackouts this year. Would it have helped to have him to sell even more? Sure. But they didn't need him to sell out.

Right, because they decided to cover up thousands of seats, which don't count against the blackouts. They are also the lowest revenue generating team in the league. Tebow would have helped improve their numbers in merchandise sales, and tickets sold so they could open up the the covered seats they have had closed off for the past 5 years. I don't like the team putting profit above good football sense, but you can't run a team in the red for as long as they have and not expect drastic change. This is still a business and teams need to make money to contribute to the league.
