John McClain is finally on board

http://blogs.chron.com/fantasyfootball/2010/12/knock_knock_whos_there_the_tex.html

This is the root of the problem.

* The Texans have had to rely on street free agents like Will Demps, Bernard Pollard, Eugene Wilson, Jason Allen and Mark Anderson to try and improve this defense over the past few years

Z-Report Says: Ladies and gentlemen, there is no greater condemnation of the job that Rick Smith and the entire personnel department has done on the defensive side of the ball than this previous statement. The Texans have spent money and draft picks on the defensive side of the ball and look what they have to show for it - nothing. The Texans have spent either a first or second-round pick on 6 players on the defensive side of the ball since Kubiak and I'm not even including the money they've thrown at Antonio Smith and Jacques Reeves. The Texans simply don't have anyone in place in a position of power that knows how to build a defense. The proof has been on the field since 2006.

The Chronic staff is clueless. It would be really good to have some top notch beat and column writers.

Would love to see someone come in and change things
They need to get rid of Gary, Rick, and that stupid godawful Clay Walker song. You know the players hate it. Worst song ever.

After the way the Texans blew Denver game leading 17-0 at halftime and 23-10 in the 4th quarter, I'll be stunned if the staff isn't fired.

This is the same guy who was posting TOBEEEEE!!!! on his draft chat when the Texans could have taken Gerhart with their 2nd round pick. The Texans traded down.

McClain's sources left with the Casserly regime. He doesn't know what is going to happen any more than any one of us.

I like song!:kubepalm:

I didn't like it at first, but I have so many great memories of hanging with friends at tailgates before and after the game, the song has just won a place in my heart.

Definitely can understand if there was a change though. So many changes need to made.

I don't know about that...having to listen to "Fly, Eagles Fly!" several times convinced me it's not that bad in comparison.

Poke fun all you want, but McClain is a Hall of Fame sportswriter.
Good thing there isn't a qualification procedure in "journalism".

....who said today on 610 he was merely angry when he wrote that and he 100% believes Kubiak is staying.

At one point J-Lo was talking about 'McClain said Kubiak is staying' and Marc accidentally kinda' called him out and said 'but that is his opinion.'

WTF kind of journalism is that? Seriously.

The guy was all over his live chat yesterday spewing the same thing - has to start getting ready for Kubiak getting fired next Monday, etc. McLain is an emotional hack.

Why oh why do the "journalists" in this town have to suck so royally bad? These idiots suck more than Elton John and Liberace on Gay Pride Day...

"tweeting" is not journalism. live chats really aren't, either. It's about getting information and crafting that into articles. and McClain and Berman both do that very, very well.

Wait, what? You actually think McLain's articles are well crafted and informative?

And if you don't think blogs and "tweets" aren't part of today's journalistic world, you are stuck in the 80's.

This "journalist" openly pouted because the Texans didn't draft VY and now admits that his public claims that Kubiak would be fired were actually made because he was "mad." Putrid - as is the rest of that rag they call the Chronicle.
