I figured I'd just go ahead and start one now since we are about three hours away from gameday. The game is at three so that is later than normal. GO TEXANS:)

I'll buy that. I also hope we win. I am NOT in the crowd that keeps wishing we'd lose out. In fact, I hope we win our final two games AND lose Kubiak at the same time. LOL

I told Lindsay today - a win does squat for the team/franchise/2011 playoffs, but I'll still be cheering for a win during the game.

I hate afternoon games. For that matter, I don't like Monday or Thursday night games either.

They are not showing the game here in Corpus Christi. I have redzone on dish but they only show the Texans when they reach the 20. I hate the fact that all 16 Cowboys games are shown every year regardless. I have literally been watching a Texans game and had it cut off at the end to show the Cowboys when they are on cbs because of playing an afc team. Same thing when Texans have played an nfc team.

The Texans get no respect. This is one of the things that McNair just doesn't get.

Atleast you get it sometimes. I go to a sports bar for every single game because its (almost) never on TV.

It reflects the EPITOMY of stupid play and coaching exhibited by the Cowboys in the beginning of the season............even stupid for the Cowboys.:wadepalm:

This was release at 11 am this morning. Either CBS report erroneous or McLane (13 minutes before your post) didn't eat his breakfast fast enough to stay up with breaking news.

Will Johnson be active or inactive?

It's 4 1/2 hours before the Texans kick off against the Broncos, and it's a gorgeous day. Bright sunshine, very little wind. Game-time temperature is supposed to be between 55 and 60. Fans will be wearing shorts.


I'm getting e-mails, texts and calls asking if Andre Johnson will play. I don't think so. I don't have inside information. The team says it will work him out on the field 90 minutes before the game and make a decision.


I'll be shocked if he plays because of something Johnson told us after practice on Friday. He said an MRI last week showed more damage. He said the pain is worse and lasts longer. Most important, he said the pain in his high ankle sprain had been contained in the front but now goes around the back into his "Achilles area." That's scary.


The last thing anybody wants is for Johnson to get hurt worse and end up having surgery. As it is, rest, relaxation and rehab will take care of it.


Anyway, that's what I'm thinking right now. I believe we'll see Jacoby Jones starting opposite Kevin Walter and Dorin Dickerson getting some playing time as the third wideout. I also think we'll see a lot of two tight end formations with Owen Daniels and Joel Dreessen.


If the Broncos lose, it will be the first time in team history they have 12 losses.

Glad I stayed home rather than making the roadie to Denver. Temps about the same, and I sure wanted to see a COLD football game! Wonder how our Texans would have matched up to the Eagles if they had to play them tonight, in a blizzard!! :)

I just realised that if the Colts and Jags lose out that no-one in our division will have a winning record.

That makes us the NFC West of the AFC.

Just another bright light to hang on your Christmas tree.

Andre Johnson looking doubtful for 4:00 game

Sources tell ESPN's Adam Schefter that it's doubtful Texans WR Andre Johnson will play in Week 16.

Johnson is a tricky situation, as the Texans are slated to play at 4:00 ET. Owners with solid early game options like Wes Welker or Kenny Britt should keep Johnson on their bench. It's looking like it's going to take a Christmas miracle for Johnson to play.

I agree there JB. Let the man sit. I guess the coaches either want AJ to get that record or want to win real bad. Or both.

It's been changed now. He will not play. And I think that's a good thing.
