Texans could sign QB & WR

The Texans worked out quarterback Jesse Palmer (Giants) and receiver Triandos Luke (Broncos), both of whom were waived this week. Receiver P.K. Sam (Patriots) will have a tryout this week.

Because the Texans have only three quarterbacks, they're looking at a few who are available in case one of theirs is injured. Rohan Davey and Palmer are the quarterbacks who have worked out so far.
 
I think this says more about Banks' future with the team more than anything. Ragone showed he is and should be the #2 QB real soon if not early this season. I think the PK Sam guy would be a nice addition but I still have to scratch my head to wonder why are we trying out another receiver when we let go of two where one had alot of upside.

That means that one Psycho chick will show up unannounced to some of our games if this guy signs with us.

As you can tell my wife made me sit through some of that also.
 
Is this the actual guy or just someone with the same name? I know it sounds like a dumb question but I don't think there's any shame in pleading ignorance on this subject.

Did you guys end up picking up PK Sam?

I liked the guy and was hoping the Patriots would find a way to keep him around, but they're just too deep at WR right now. He came out a year too early, IMHO... I think if he stayed in school he would have gone higher (assuming he played well). He just never had a shot with New England. He was hurt all last year and most of camp, but showed flashes when he did get in there to play. If you guys got him, especially at a bargain price, it might be a really nice pick-up.
 
He worked out...don't know if he was offered a contract or not though. We should find out later today probably.

there are plenty of QB's that we could take a good look at...davey would be nice since we could still sign him to the practice squad...at receiver there is always a bunch of guys who can play...if casserly feels we need to find another guy or two there then i will trust his judgement on that person

Luke is not eligible for the practice squad. He was brought in for a workout is all.

The Boston Globe reports the Houston Texans worked out former Patriots WR P.K. Sam, but did not offer him a contract.
