I'm not worried about it, even if he can't go, our other back field guys can go just as well. DD is fine and will be starting you can take that to the bank.

Heh? Our other RB's are as good as Domanick?

I'm sure that Dom will be fine and play well, but to suggest that Morency and Hollings are anywhere near his equal, is absolutely ludicrous.

and wells.

i wouldnt say they are as good.. but to say that they arent anywhere near his level is ignorance.

we will get by fine if Davis misses a game or two.

To say they are anywhere near his level is ignorant. The guy is proven.

Exactly what formula or stats or facts would you use to equate the skills of Morency and Hollings to his?

Wells averaged 3.6 yards per carry and scored 3 touchdowns in the games he played last year. he had one great game as well.. cant remember who it was against.

Morency has looked rookie-ish this offseason but averaged something like 5 yards per carry.

More importantly.. I base it on what ive seen. The only RB that I think would HURT us if he was in the game, is Hollings. Wells and Morency would not keep us from winning.

You could've said the same thing about comparing Stacey Mack to DD during his rookie season. Mack was proven NFL player and DD was not.

Point being that Morrency has looked alot like a young RB who showed good cutting ability, vision, and always seemed to fall forward during his rookie season (psst its DD). I think Morrency would be able to keep our running game going if DD was to go down for a game or two. Definately not unreasonable to think so.

DD's ankle will be fine and he is scheduled to play Sunday. We would have probably heard word by now. However that ankle may be more septable of injury again and possibly at a more serious extent. However we have backup RB's who can hold there own and if that did happen maybe that would cut out Carrs option to do a shuffle pass every other play.

Oakland, 26 attempts for 105 yards and a TD...

And a fumble too!!!

I wonder though if this injury Davis has had any impact on why we kept Hollings.

Also, does anyone know if Davis was affected by Katrina.

I don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised if the wind blew to hard and hurt Bennie Joppru.
