NFL game thread 12/5

snowy(off and on) and cold in Nashville

Collins is back at QB

I wish it was snowing over here. :smiliedance:

...and do we have to root for the Titans? At least they have a better chance of winning with Kerry Collins in. Rusty Smith is a little rusty.

LMAO.... Jamal Brown kept messing up for the Texans Thursday, now he's getting cheap penalties for the Redskins!!!!

Favre injured shoulder against the bills

Jags are grounding and pounding right now

I know we aren't mathematically eliminated from the playoffs yet, but we're not getting in. I put our chances at <1%. Therefore, piss on the Titans. I just can't stomach the thought of cheering on Tennessee. Yuck.

I don't care personally, when you've gone as long as the Texans without a playoff game you begin to get desperate for just one.

Would love for Tennesse and Dallas to win today.

Meh. My distaste for the Titans exceeds the desperation I feel for making the playoffs this year; especially seeing as how, to a paraphrase another poster, the current diagram for a Texans playoff run in 2010 may as well include charter jet crashes. I just can't do it. Piss on Bud Adams and the Titans.

I've pretty much resigned myself to rooting on the 49ers in their run for the playoffs, just for the sake of seeing something ridiculous that isn't Texans football. :kubepalm:

For me the teams ahead of us aren't much better if better than us at all. Colts can lose 2 games out of 4 this year, and the Jags could lose out after playing the Titans. Texans are not a HORRIBLE team like most fans think, they just come up short too often.

With that said I'll prbly root for the Patriots. Colts fans hate them and at least if they win it's not anything new.

No, the Texans aren't horrible, per say. That said, being merely "not very good" is not much of a consolation.

Me too even though a Jags loss would have helped, I can't get over my hatred for the Tacks.

That makes two of us. How can any Texans fan born before 1996 cheer for the Tacks? Only if a Tennessee win directly determined whether or not the Texans made the playoffs would I consider not cheering against them.

PS. That's officially my new favorite smiley.

Dez Bryant has re-injured his right ankle.......most likely another high ankle sprain, this time one that could require surgery.

This is what worries me about AJ.

Bryant was given about 6 weeks rest and rehab before returning to action. Even so, this was actually very much pushing things. Mid October began missing practice because his ankle. At that time, he admitted that his ankle was giving him problems off and on ever since his injury. Now this. Re-injury without FULL rehab usually results in more severe damage to ligamentous structures, and possible accompanying ankle fracture.

i love watching the raiders play!!! they play with so much grit and energy!! and it all starts with there head coach imo! some might say hes a PoS or whatever but it seems like all the players have so much respect for the guy and love playing for him! we need a guy like tom cable to coach our team! or ROB RYAN!!!!!!

Manning just threw his 4th int today! gurls now have the ball deep in colts territory in OT. 1st & 10 at the 24

News is now that his ankle injury is a fracture. Could this be because of weakening from the high ankle sprain?

I'm pissed off at myself for missing a great game :brickwall:. I'm not superstitious or anything, but the Raiders winning in this fashion AT San Diego...I might miss next week's game just to see what happens. :kitten:

I have a feeling the difference from this week's Raiders compared to the last is that this week's Raiders had Tom Cable running the show...

Wow, Colts fans act like their team hasn't been to the playoffs, let alone suberbowl, in forever. :kubepalm:

Peyton Manning has spoiled them the past decade and now that he appears human they freak.

Most Colt fans are complete turds, and i can't wait for the day that Peyton leaves them and their team gets buried into the ground for a dozen years or so, then maybe they'll start appreciating what they had instead of feeling like they have some sense that they deserve a winning franchise.

If your not from Houston you can. I feel no particular hatred for Tennessee or Dallas.
