Can you feel the lack of love...?

Nobody is talking about our matchup this weekend. Its an afterthought on the NFL schedule.

One of our teams is gonna have to make a statement in this game.....I'd say the bills defense is going to dictate the pace, and eventually the outcome of our contest on saturday.

Well I think I am getting over my grumpiness from the offseason moves (nonmoves) of the higher ups. I am looking forward to this game for 2 reasons:

1. Carr and Co. looked good the 1st couple of games, so I think they will take that instead of the performances of the last 2 preseason games into Buffalo.

2. Capers does very well against these types of teams. Don't get me wrong, Buffalo has a great Defense, but we did beat them last time up in Buffalo, and last time they had a better QB and RB. I only worry about the health of DD. Losman should be tested, early and often. I look for us to do well away from the Houston heat where the weather in Buffalo is projected to be about 75.

But all this hinges on the new look of the defense.

Until the Texans make the post season they will get no love or respect in the national press. We are just a mediocre NFL team until we have a winning season and a wildcard spot. There isn't much to report.

Yep, respect has to earned. Remember all of the love they got last year after winning 3 out of 4. All over the ESPN shows, ranked in the top 10 in several Power Rankings... then the Denver game...

The Bills lost a key player on offense and defense that I think will hurt them a lot more than people think. Pat Williams DT and Jonas Jennings LT. Keep an eye on those 2 positions during the game.

Yes. I have been saying that for a minute now. I would sit there waiting to hear a report on the game, and see some highlights what we did right, what we did wrong. I don't live in Houston so if I had to work or couldn't make it to the sports bar to catch it on those tiny monitors that will irritate the heck out of you, I would rely on ESPN, news, etc. Nothing. I just finished saying to a friend of mine that we don't get any press. The only time I saw highlights or reviews was when we play a "beloved" team of the NFL like the Colts win or lose, or if we win big. If we don't put up a decent amount of points and have a closer game like 14-10 or something, the coverage is as long as the big play that made them feel like it was worth showing.

Yes the Texans won that game 12 -10 and the K for the Bills Rian Lindell missed 2 short gimme FG attempts. But I wont take anything away from Houston, they won that game.

They wont win this week and while Bledsoe may have been more experienced than JP Losman will be this week, I'll take Losman over Drew Dreadful anyday. Also there is no way Travis Henry is better than Willis Mcgahee. No way.

It'll be a good game but Buffalo wins this one by 8.......... 24-16

Jennings will hurt, but he got WAYYYY over paid for his good but not great performance and injury history.

Big Pat was a great player, But his replacement Ron Edwardswas a starter before Sam Adams was signed. Edwards is a better pass rusher than Williams, but Williams excelled in Run Stuffing... Tim Anderson, 2nd year man out of Ohio State will see time...

Agreed.

I love this team, and I'm sick of all of us feeling "betrayed" by the national media because we don't get no love.

Teams get love when they give love. It's a give-and-take situation.

We gots to give love to get love. And I hope we dish out a lot of lovin' on Buffalo this weekend. They might have some good hot wings up there in Buffalo, but we got the beef baby!

It's not surprising. I wouldn't bother talking about the Texans-Bills game if I were a sportswriter. Ok, maybe if it was being played in Houston with all the REFUGEES (Hear that Jesse Jackson? I said it!) and surrounding media attention I might talk about this game but then it would mostly be about the circumstances.

Texans-Bills isn't a big attention getter right now. We haven't proven anything and the Bills have done only slightly better. If it's any consolation to everyone I think we're going to get to watch one of those really good games that almost nobody in America got to see. I think this is going to be an excellent game and I think that regardless of the outcome (which I believe goes to the Texans) both teams are going to surprise some people in 2005.

I bet if we play again in 2006 the sports media will pay attention.
