20 Year Old At Bears Game Falls And Dies

He fell into the street today per the T.V. Anyone know what happend?

fell out the upper deck, they say.

Fell 35 feet according to this story.

"A skilled climber who enjoyed scaling up the side of buildings and trees, he may have even hopped over a railing to enjoy a cigarette behind one of Soldier Field’s famous columns before he fell, friends said.

Haverty fell about 4:55 p.m. from a balcony between two columns on the west side of the stadium, between gates 19 and 21, approximately level with the 50 yard line, police said.

The flat roof Haverty landed on is about 35 feet below the balcony.

He would have had to have jumped or fallen over a three-foot-high railing on the balcony, then fallen off a ledge that appeared to be at least two feet wide before plunging down."

me and my friends were actually at the game and it happned not to far behind us! i didnt see anything but my friend said when he went to take a leak that there were cops and paramedics all over the place!

He must've landed awkward. 35 feet doesn't seem like it should be fatal....maybe really, really bruised but not dead.

I don't know bro, that's 3 1/2 stories. You can have a fatal fall from a few feet up if you hit just right, so 35' seems like it wouldn't take much to die. I would think you'd be more apt to die from that fall than limp away.

35' is more often fatal than not. You have to know how to fall to survive that (or get lucky).

Look up parachute landing fall and/or a martial arts break fall. Still wouldn't want to have to do it from 35 feet, though. I did a PLF from a little over 20 feet once. That smarted.
