From KHOU.com:
Texans' Coleman convicted of driving while intoxicated

05:20 PM CDT on Monday, July 26, 2004

From 11 News Staff Reports

HOUSTON -- A jury has convicted Houston Texan Marcus Coleman of driving while intoxicated.

Jurors deliberated nearly seven hours before finding the defensive back guilty.

Coleman, 30, was arrested in May after crashing his brand new Mercedes-Benz on Kirby. Coleman was alone in the car and he wasn't hurt.

A police video played during the trial showed him stumble when asked to walk a straight line and lose his balance when asked to stand on one leg.

Coleman denied being intoxicated and blamed the crash on being distracted while adjusting his car radio.

The charge carries a potential sentence of up to 180 days in jail.

Jurors will return tomorrow for the sentencing phase of the trial.

Coleman is a nine-year NFL veteran and the Texans' starting right cornerback.

big loss if it happens? yes, but it more than likely wont.

and if it does, we'll put mccree back there, who can hold his own til coleman gets back

Aside from the football I hope Marcus finds help for this and comes out of it a better man.

A bigger question is what will the NFL/Texans do to him? Couldn't he be fined and/or suspended? If so then the Robinson pick looks pretty good (see Vinny I can say "Good GM") And we still have McCree.

You also gotta say Good GM for the safety draft picks. Any chance we will bring anyone in for a looksy now?
