The division leading Seahawks are 5-5. They could be the first ever team with a losing record to make it into the playoffs.

The way I see it, the Giants, Saints and Buccaneers will be fighting for the two wildcard spots at the end of the season. Looking at their remaining schedule, the Seahawks will probably finish 8-8.

Either the Giants, Saints or Buccaneers will stay home with a better record than the Seahawks.

And to think, we could have been in that division INSTEAD of the Seahawks, but our owner wanted to put us in the AFC South so that we could play the Titans twice a year... (and incidentally, the Colts...oof )

If I were running a sports league, I'd make sure the rules stipulated that a team can only enter the playoffs with a winning record; a division spot that cannot be filled would become a wild card seed instead.

Looks like my fantasy football league. I'm 5-5 right now, about to be 6-5, but the other teams in my division are all going to win this week too.

The standings go:

East
7-3
7-3
6-4
5-5 - me
4-6

West
5-5
4-6
4-6
4-6
4-6
