After reading the latest cut lists on KFFL here are a few surprises, at least to me:

Wesley Britt

Hugh Dogulas

Atari Bigby

Earnst Shazor


Not saying we should go after any of these guys, just that it's intersting that they got cut.

Ok the two names that really jump out at me are Shazor and Britt. These were two guys I was following in the draft and hoping the Texans would give a look at. Shazor was a linebacker-saftey hybrids. He ended up going in the 3rd round to cincy. Britt was a OT out of Alabama that I thiught could be a decent player. He was a second rounder for San Diego I think. I am very surprised wither of these guys were cut and I would consider taking a look at either.
 
Add Antajj Hawthorne to the lise of cut-ees. He failed to make the team.

So much for the "so-called" best DT prospect in teh draft.
 
Hugh Douglas may be back with the Eagles before long. S Dexter Winn is hurt, so the Eagles kept an extra safety and only 4 D ends. McDougle can not come off PUP list until mid season, if he does come back at all this year. When Winn is ready, I look for Hugh to back and a rookie S named Thornborgh to be cut to the PS.
A interesting note, to me anyway. The Eagles kept 10 rookies, 8 drafted, 2 undrafted free agents. Also kept RB Bruce Perry, G Adrien Clark, and G Shawn Andrews, all drafted last year, but spent the year on IR. Andrews played less than a half before getting his leg broken.
A Super Bowl team from last year just turned over 25% of the roster to young guys with less than one half of a game experence in the NFL. Interesting.
