Are the Texans switching to White Jersey for the home games this year?
No, they often play in white at home during the summer months.

Yeah, Lucky's right.

It's JUST preseason, so they wear the white. But when the regular season starts, and the games are for real...they crack out the blue. And then when the games are REALLY for real, such as Tennessee or Jacksonville, then they switch to red jerseys. Lots of switching goin' on.

Sorry. I couldn't resist. Forgive me. It's late, and I need to go to bed.

I'll just go and "cry" myself to sleep.

Sorry. I did it again. (Hope you thought that was funny, Lucky)

They usually wear the white during the beginning of the season, until Battle Red day. After that, they switch to blue. It's because of heat. Blue is still our "official" home jersey.

We'll definately be in white when the Steelers come to town. Got to make the heat a factor for the opposing team. We'll need every advantage we can get against a team like that.

October 23rd is battle red day, and I'll say the 12/24 game vs. JAX will be another Battle Red Day, since it's Christmas Eve. (Red,as most of you all know, its a christmas color).

If we're undefeated in battle red, why not make battle red our standard ?
It's so simple, SB here we come!

Just wondering :)

Battle Red is our alternative jersey. The NFL allows teams to wear their alternative jerseys only twice a season.

I'm not sure the Steelers are going to be all that this year. Staley and Bettis are both banged up and may not play in week 1 which would probably still make them questionable for week 2. Big Ben had games where he really struggled to make anything happen and if he doesn't have the running game to allow some play action I think the Texans can beat them. That being said, they still have the Bills to worry about.

I don't think the Steelers will win 15 games like they did last year, but with the defense they have their offense could be non-existent and they'd still give us a tough game. I think losing Burress is going to effect Big Ben's play this year since he was a favorite target, and Ward holding out didn't help matters much. I still think they'll have enough to make the playoffs even if Big Ben has a sophmore slump.
