Our season is over according to Yahoo!

I hate to say it but I have had a sinking feeling for a couple of weeks now and yesterday was the straw that broke the camels back

why? the defense is too ****ing bad.

if the defense was even in the middle of the pack. I'd say hell no, we can get it going with our offense but...

At least last season they waited until November to start losing out. Last season was 5-3 and then lose 4 in a row. This season was 3-1 and then go 1-4.

Yahoo is right.

He's pretty spot on with that piece he wrote. Great WR, great RB, QB thats good when he's on...defense that's atrocious. Mediocre. That's what we're all upset about...the same problems over and over with the current regime.

Yahoo didn't say much we haven't said in this forum before. Oh well. Back to being the NFL's whipping boy.

This **** is getting old. But it doesn't matter, because I'll still be watching them on Sunday hoping for the best, and then getting pissed off when they don't deliver. You'd think I'd have learned by now, but it appears I haven't.

Articles like this make me happy.
I hope there are more of them... A LOT MORE.

The more the national media piles on, the more it helps the cause of getting this coaching staff booted the F outta town.

Quick, where's my time machine? I need to go back and get Kubiak on the Madden '11 cover.

At least stock in Jim Beam keeps rising...lol

That article was pretty spot on. The national media looks at our roster at the beginning of the season and says, "Damn they have so much talent, they're going to win the AFC South this year. Colts be damned." Somehow, we find a way to lose in spite of ourselves.

Here's an interesting stat, our Pythagorean wins for this season (calculated from points scored to points allowed) has us at winning 6.6 games this year. Sounds about right to me at this point.

So you thought at 4-2 our season was over?

That takes some kind of prediction

Not too hard if you take how the Texans have been playing all year,
and match it against the rest of our schedule.

Colts, Chargers, Jags. Teams the Texans just don't beat this time of year.

We're currently 0-3 since going 4-2. Four more consecutive losses
is NOT difficult to predict from here.

I see this team losing at The Jets, at Tennessee, at Philly, and home for Tennessee.

That makes SEVEN CONSECUTIVE LOSSES. EASY to predict.

After losing 3 straight games it is a whole different story predicting losses.

Especially since the last 2 games could have easily gone either way it is not like we got blown out. This is no way making excuses for the team, we suck rite now but to say that our season was over when we were 4-2 was far from the truth.

I can see us going 2-2 or more likely 1-3 over the next 4 games.

As far as making the playoffs ? Hey that's old news, our season ended on MNF vs the Colts a couple weeks ago when one team didn't bother to show up.

When we beat Indy and gave up a jillion passing yards, I thought it was because we were playing Manning.

When we beat Washington and gave up a jillion passing yards, I chalked it up to McNabb being a HOF QB.

When Dallas trounced us through the air, I knew we had horrible issues.

Jacksonville winning on a 50 yard hail mary makes me want to burn all my Texans gear to exorcise some demons.

This is exactly where our season ended. 2 weeks to prepare for a beat up team and then get embarrased on MNF.

There were a couple of play-off teams that were 4-5 this time last year. San Diego is in a bad spot, but probably the favorite to win their division this year.

We've seen these Texans, we know what they can do, & unfortunately we know what they'll most likely do.

While I don't see 7 consecutive losses, I do see 7 losses.... Best case scenario, I see them fighting to get to 10-6 but losing the Tie Breaker to the Jets, Ravens, or heaven forbid, the Titans.

* I said it from the beginning, 10-6 shouldn't save Kubiak unless the team is playing well, & we make a run in the play-offs.

We had the W in sights against San Diego and Jacksonville, two wins we desperately needed. Would be sitting at 6-3. In the Washington game we showed we could come back and win, and win a close game... that we could do what it took to squeek out a win. The SD and JAC games showed me that this isn't a great team... great teams always find a way to win and here's two we let slip away.

There's no way we go to the playoffs as a wildcard team, I've thought this from the beginning and it feels even more concrete after looking at the standings across the AFC.

To make the playoffs we MUST win the division. And that is still possible, it's just highly unlikely. Looking at Indy's schedule, the best guesstimate I have is a 10 or 11 win season for them. Tennesse: 9 or 10 wins. Jacksonville: 8 or 9 wins.

We have 7 games remaining: 2 against TEN and 1 against JAC. We also have tough ones against Jets, Ravens and Eagles. If we win out... 7 game winning streak, we'll have 11 wins and most likely win the tie breaker against Indy if they have 11. 6/7 gets us 10 wins and could still tie with Indy. We'll see.

So now Yahoo thinks our season is over? Anyone else feel like this?

32nd rated defense in the NFL. Yeah...that is DEAD LAST, which brings about the question I've been asking all season:

Why ...does....Frank BUSH....STILL....have...a....Job!?!

The season was in jeopardy as early as February 10, 2010. It was pretty much over then to me too. This season meets my expectations.

Mr. McNair says that they're doing a fine job. The coaches aren't missing tackles and dropping balls. What's the problem here? :strangle: :wild:
