i want to print out a banner that is about 8 feet long. Big enough for the players to see on the field, but not to sure what it should say.

Winning is not everything, but wanting to win is.
Vince Lombardi

or
There is no room for second place.

What should i do?

I like the one I saw a couple weekends ago that said, "The people behind this sign cannot see". At 8 feet long, that would really ring true.

:D

I think the Lombardi quote is "Winning isn't everything, but the will to win is everything.”

However, he also said “If winning isn't everything, why do they keep score?”

Why not just use the latter portion of the first quote... "The will to win is EVERYTHING"

I have a problem with anything that insinuates that the players don't want to win/aren't trying. Then again, I'm not the one making the sign.

"Where are my playoffs?"

"I can haz last place?"

"I'm supposed to be paying for this?"

I'll think up some more after I've had my after lunch coffee. :)

I don't like to lose, and that isn't so much because it is just a football game,
but because defeat means the failure to reach your objective.

The Houston Texans and Reliant Stadium welcome signs and banners but request that you adhere to specific guidelines in order to ensure that these articles do not detract from the enjoyment of other guests. Banners and signs should in no way infringe on the sightlines of other fans and must be small enough for one person to hold. They may not be affixed to anything in Reliant Stadium or held so that they block the view of scoreboards or any permanent signage in the Stadium. In addition, poles are prohibited in Reliant Stadium, so banners or signs affixed to a pole will not be permitted into the stadium. All banners and signs must be in good taste, must be in the spirit of the event and must not have any corporate name, logo or message. The Texans reserve the right to remove any banner or sign that does not meet these guidelines.

Just FYI

Me and my brother will be picketing the next home game if they lose to JVille.

We sold 2 of our PSLs this past offseason when they didn't do anything to improve the team, and after this last crop of draft picks and FAs (err what FAs?) we will sell the remaining 2 if they retain Kubiak.

FIRE GARY KUBIAK
CAN WE GET A REFUND ON OUR PSL, BOB?
FIRE RICK SMITH
BRING US A WINNER, BOB
.500 ISN'T A FINE JOB

any other ideas? if yall come by the Orange Lot we will be doing it on Holly Hall right by the Orange Lot entrance since that is where our parking pass is.

Just 2 guys, 2 lawn chairs, and some signs. We want to get on TV and get this guy run out of town.

In all seriousness though if you want to bring a banner I don't advocate any of the negative things here (even the funny ones). I don't know why but on game day I think it's good to go positive right up until the point where the Texans fail to give you anything to be positive about.
