WR to land in the bird nest?

Well I did get this info from the cbs RUMOR MILL, but they have been reliable in the past.

"The Philadelphia Daily News reported there was no indication the Eagles were interested in either Peerless Price or Peter Warrick, two high-profile wideouts released earlier in the week. Earlier, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported two potential landing spots for Corey Simon were Baltimore and Cincinnati. Both teams tried to trade for the six-year pro in the off-season, but talks stalled when they heard his demands. The Eagles stopped waiting for Simon to sign his franchise-tag tender and set him free to find a new football home. The Trenton Times added San Francisco, Buffalo, Green Bay, Kansas City, and perhaps NFC East rivals Washington and the Giants, could go after Simon. The Times also said the Eagles could have more than just mild interest in WR Troy Edwards, who was released by the Jaguars."

also the eagles 'insider' has said terms with an unamed WR are being discussed, and there is a possibility of a move happening sometime tommorow.

Lol @ any team that thinks Peerless Price is worth signing.

(yes I realize I am throwing stones in a glass house)

I'm surprised at this, I think this guy is overrated:

"According to ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli, the Eagles are poised to add a veteran wide receiver to the roster, but it won't be Peerless Price or Peter Warrick, both of whom were released Tuesday by the Atlanta Falcons and Cincinnati Bengals, respectively. Instead, the Eagles huddled with veteran free agent Darnerian McCants on Wednesday, and plan to sign him after their Thursday preseason finale."

"Yes, I think the Eagles will at least bring in a WR. Not sure about RB, though .. A younger guy, a developing guy, somebody they think they can coach up who can help this year and be a prospect for a few years to come. "

Troy Edwards went to Tennessee.
"The Tennessean reported several veterans and one draft pick might have jobs in jeopardy as the Titans head into their preseason finale. That list includes tackle Todd Williams, safeties Justin Sandy and Donnie Nickey, and running backs Jarrett Payton and Damien Nash. With Tennessee stocked at linebacker, Rocky Calmus could be attractive to another team since he's behind Brad Kassell and only a special teamer for the Titans at this point. Earlier, the newspaper said the Titans expressed an interest in ex-Jaguars WR Troy Edwards, and the player's agent said he was hopeful a deal could be reached with the team soon."
-cbs rumor mill

I dont know why they posted that but didnt update the philly rumor mill.

Mccants has been mentioned alot on the philly mb, but that is all rumors too

If they sign McCants, that's just bringing in another half way decent WR, at least if you sign Peerless Price, he has shown he can do it before, even if he had a horrible last couple years. But you gotta remember he had Michael Vick for a QB, who doesn't throw to his WRs enough.

It just seems to be the cool thing atm to jump on the 'Not-so' Peerless bandwagon IMO. A lot of teams could do a lot worse than him on their roster, the Eagles included, as I doubt he wouldn't be talking to McNabb like a certain media hungry guy there already does...

Well you know, the Eagles shouldn't be all that desperate for a receiver anymore now that TO is back and good. They do have Greg Lewis and Reggie Brown or whatever his name is. They could use another one no doubt, we'll see what happens.

exactly. not desprate at all. the rumor mill says it will be mccants

"The Delaware County Times reported Darnerian McCants was expected to join the Eagles before the end of the weekend. Also, Philadelphia was searching for a big running back, an NFL source said, and Miami's Lamar Gordon was on the short list."

FredEx is a free agents now, but i know it wont happen.
