didnt see it posted but on nfl.com they're saying hes nearly certain to miss the game against us

game will still be tough but if gates is missing it just got alot more winnable

Well given the impact Clark being out for the Colts had, I say that this means nothing.

The Chargers could pull receivers out of the stands on Sunday and still make our pass defense look terrible.
 
haha some good this will do. We'll likely just see a guy who likes similar to gates who has never played a down in the NFL going off.

Yeah, I think Clark still had 5 catches Monday, and that was from IR. Gates just being out means 8-9 grabs.
 
Oh well just means we'll see another 4th string no name TE like the Colts' Tamme go off for a bunch of yardage or TD's or both.

I like Philip Rivers, but he's no Peyton Manning. Gates out will hurt them alot. I'm not saying Texans won't win, or won't give up alot of yards, but the way it's shaping up... This is a game the Texans should, and must, win.
 
Gates should consult Yao's doctor. He's had foot problems since that injury in that playoff game vs. Tennessee? (anyone remember what I'm talking about?)
 
Good news: Gates won't get a record setting 300 yrds against us.

Gates will probably sit out
Malcom Floyd will be out - #1 WR
Legadu Nanee will be out #2 WR

That is our starting lineup for receivering corps. Our only good/active receiver is Crayton, and he is a possession WR.

I think the edge is with Houston.

You could put their sisters out there as wide outs and Rivers will still get 300 against our DB's
 
I don't know why everyone is still so down on the defense. They're not great but Monday they came out and held Manning to 2 TD drives, under 6 YPA and under 60% completions. If they can keep playing like they did against the Peyton it's going to be good enough to get us a lot of wins.

Convince Kubiak to run the ball a lot, and Brown to stop looking like an asshole at LT and the offense will be fine.

Oh wait, we lost a game so the season is over. Continue your preparations for mass suicide as per the loss week schedule.
