Sorry excuse for coaching!

That was one of the worst coaching jobs I've seen from Kubiak since the Dallas debacle. We know we can run against the Colts, like everyone else, so he chooses to try to play air ball all night. The O line sucked and there was no attempt to address that the whole game. We deserved to lose this game, but it sucks for the players and fans. I place this wholly on Coach Kubiak's shoulders!

Wait till the Chargers come to town. If you thought you heard Hakeem Nicks name a lot just wait and see how much we hear Antonio Gates name.

Play like this really gets me down on the team. This is one that shouldn't have gotten away. This coaching really sucks. I'm so down right now......I need a Prozac.

Most of you prob won't have seen me here before, I only have a hand full of posts from 2007 but I thought I should use my account as I have one.

I really could not understand why Foster only carried the ball 15 times, but with huge success. I expected Foster to be given something more like 30 carries, against our porous run defense its common sense. During the game as the television coverage kept on showing Kubiak it almost seemed like he was very anxious right through the game, he didn't look confident at all.

I really did not expect us to win last night, and in all honesty it was the first game in a very long time where I actually expected us to lose. Good luck against cry baby Rivers next weekend folks.

i dont know whether to thank you for the validation from the opponent's perspective, or just hang my head because our coach crapped out in a manner even obvious to my baby neice. the scouting report over the past DECADE on the colts is to try to run the ball, and foster averaged 6.8ypc (8.0ypc in the first half) ... yet we came out throwing.

i can only imagine this game with kubiak on the other sideline. "they know we have peyton manning ... i bet they'll never suspect we'll run 47 times!".

i'm getting repetitive, but damn! obviously i didnt want to lose, but going 1-1 against the colts would've felt like a success if i could in any way shape or form wrap my head around why threw the ball all game. with childress dropping randy moss and shanny benching mcnabb, i didnt think it'd be possible to be the most obviously wrong coach this week - yet somehow we accomplished that feat.

I think that is an issue with the whole team. Matt Schaub looks scared, & has looked scared all year. He's cautious. Too cautious, he's not making his reads & he's forcing the ball. Look at the list of receivers who caught passes last night. That's not the distribution we're used to seeing.

In years past, we played with more confidence...... over-confidence I believe, which led to the wacky come-from-behind Colts/Jags/Tennessee victories, Rosencopter, etc...

Now, we've seem to go way to the other side of the scale.... scared. Even on the defensive side of the ball. Cushing playing a new position, I kinda understand... but Pollard, Wilson, Quin, Diles....... they used to fly to the ball, now they're a step late.

If there is one thing I find unacceptable, is coaching to not make mistakes. IMHO, that's where Capers got this team in his 4th year. Everybody's worried about making mistakes, & not making plays. We end up making more mistakes, & less plays.

Everybody makes mistakes, every team, every player. We say that we have to have short memories, but last years losses were much more memorable than this year's losses. Coaches need to have shorter memories IMHO. Don't start coaching out mistakes..... coach players to play.

The coaching in this game sucked. No emphasis on the run game when it was obviously working, no blocking help for Duane Brown when he was getting owned by Freeny, and running the same generic offense plays that everyone has seen already.

Kubiak needs to go already, he's proven for 4 yrs. that he's an offensive coordinator in a head coaches job, he'll never be a good head coach.

Gary Kubiak tried to be the smartest guy in the room, and came out looking like a moron. One of the all time stupidest game plans ever.

After the win against the Chiefs, I said I would fire Kubiak that day, and said this was going to be a 7-9 win team. I got derided for being a negative nelly.

Well, it was all on display last night. The guy has a lower football IQ than Jerry Mathers from Leave it to Beaver, but even the Beaver would have played smashmouth football against the Colts last night.

Kubes - You are the weakest link. Goodbye! :worldpeace:

It's almost as if he just wants to be a contrarian.
It's not like the Giants game where he can at least use the excuse of the run wasn't working that well, although we should have stuck with it more then too.

The run was working like nobody's business last night. Foster was working them over.
I don't understand it.

Hmmm, once the schedule came out and they saw Indy was game #1, they focused on that. They took them to the shed. After a bye week, with Indy coming up, don't ya think that you should have been watching your film over and over again.. Shoot, Indy had the same bye, and by the looks of it, with their JV team suited up, they made the most of their time off.
I am now thinking that Kubiak must be replaced next season.. I am looking forward to his comments on why he got away form the run when it was working yet again...And Smith and McNair need to listen good.. If it's the same broken record approach, well that tells you all you need to know about his coaching.. same thing over and over and over and ov.............
