Ouch! All that and VY reinjured his ankle.

Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt's rollercoaster year continues.

His touchdown streak ended at five games Sunday when he hurt his hamstring in the first quarter against the Chargers. It sounds like a serious injury.

Coach Jeff Fisher said Britt will miss an "extended period of time," according to Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean. Britt heard his hamstring "pop." The Titans are headed for their bye week, but it sounds like Britt could be out a while longer.

Just days after getting in an altercation at a Nashville nightclub, Britt put up 225 yards and three touchdowns last week against the Eagles. Fisher said Britt will not face any further team punishment for the incident.

This guy is driving me nuts. I drop him last week and he puts up 40 points. I pick him back up this week and he puts up 0.

Stinking Titans. You can't ever trust them...

+1.

Between him and Dallas Clark, I am officially screwed as a FF owner.

Ha! And I traded him and Cedric Benson for Calvin Johnson.

I was sooo close to picking him up due to the monster game the previous week....

Thank goodness I didn't. Oh, and thank goodness for chef boy R dee.

Luckily for me this is all my heavy-hitters' bye weeks, and this will end up being my first loss (7-1). Unless Peyton and Vinatieri put up like 60 points.

For the love of all that is good please let me lose my game this week...:kitten:

Unless Britt's tear is minor [grade I tear], and from the looks of it, it doesn't seems so, he is unlikely to return for when we play the Tacks first. If his tear is a subtotal or full tear which requires surgery [grade III), he is unlikely to return until next year.

It has been reported that he was to undergo an MRI today. THEY (not necessarily WE) will know more after this exam.

Keep in mind that 25% (in some studies, up to 50%) of hamstring injuries recur within the first 4 week post injury. Most all of them recur due to injudicious early return to play. There are higher recurrence rates in NFL context since players want and/or feel the need to return before they are truly ready. That's in addition to the pressure that some teams place on players to do the same.

Well, that sucks for them. I tore my hamstring last year so I'm very squeamish when someone reminds me of the "pop". (I felt it "pop", I didn't hear anything). Stopped me immediately from a full sprint.

Besides walking very gingerly, you can't even sit on the pot without it hurting!! Not a fun adventure Britt will have to go through these next few weeks (or more).
