So umm.....does anybody know what the worst loss in UCLA history is?

Carr Bombed

Because Oregon is kicking the living crap out of them right now......I'm finding it hard to remember the last time I saw a major football program get whipped like this.

P.S.

Sooner fans, your team is not the #1 team in the country...I didn't know why they got the nod over Oregon to begin with, it must of been Texas' early on overrated ranking.

Actually it was because Texas beat Nebraska and jumped back into the rankings. Well, that and Oregon's godawful non conference schedule. How ironic is it that every Texas win helps the Sooners?

Maybe the last time UCLA played a football game in Austin, TX ?

12-3-2005 at Southern California. UCLA LOST 19-66.

08-13-2008 - BYU hands UCLA worst loss in 79 years. Max Hall tied a school record with seven touchdown passes and the 18th-ranked Cougars handed UCLA its worst loss in nearly 80 years, overwhelming the Bruins 59-0 Saturday.

Edit: The first two football games between USC and UCLA were in 1929 and 1930. Both were routs. The score in 1929 was USC-76, UCLA-0. The score in 1930 was USC-52, UCLA-0 - http://www.laalmanac.com/sports/sp01g.htm

So how bad would Oregon beat Texas if they played considering UCLA ran all over the horns.

I love this logic in college football. Let's apply this same login to the NFL.

The Texans blew out the Colts in week 1 34-24. Yes it was a blow out, the Colts got a late garbage time TD.

The following week the Colts blew out the Giants 38-14.

So how bad would the Texans beat the Giants if they played considering the Colts ran all over the Giants?

I certainly agree with your take in a logical world, but in the BCS failmula, transitive properties are probably considered.

Except not everybody is laughing at this joke.

The "BCS schools" are laughing, but that's about it.

Maybe but as a fan of a BCS school it is still a joke. National "Championships" mean little to me, even the one in 2005. There is nothing like watching your team EARN a championship by grinding it out through a playoff. I have witnessed every team I am a fan of do this at some point in my life except the Oilers/Texans.
