He never turned his head but he was usually in position..... he was WITH the other receiver at least making stuff hard for them.

QBs were less likely to throw on him because he appeared to be in position. Sure he never turned his head, but at least the threat was there.

With KJax he's not even in position
 
I still think he has an injury issue. Dude is without a job for a reason.

Which makes him at least 20 times better then Kareem Abdul Jackson.

I'm thinking the Texans should sign me to a deal and let me give it a try. I may be 4 months shy of 40 years old, and around 235 lbs, with a nice keg for a belly, but I'm sure I could get out there and give the opposing receivers a 5 to 10 yard cushion and allow every pass my way to be caught. Hell I'll even throw in a nice pass interference every now and then! I can put my arms around the guy with the ball and fall down as he runs by making me look like a total wuss, and I'll do it for the incredibly low price of $1,000,000 per season. That is a bargin compared to what others are asking!

Oh, and just to show I'm a team player, if the balls not being thrown my way, and my teammates make a great play, I'll hold my guy even though he is out of the play so as not to interrupt the karma of the D!!!
 
Well, Reeves didn't get cut because of Jackson. He was cut because the team decided to go with Molden. However, for reasons beyond my comprehension, Molden has been given no shot on the field despite all the struggles in the secondary. Clearly, there is a disconnect between the decision when the roster was filled out and how they see the depth of the secondary now. Fortunately, the bye week coming right after the latest defensive fiasco forces the coaches to explore all possibilities. I'm guessing we will see significant schematic and personnel changes in two weeks.... Well, we had better!
 
It's funny how fans who used to talk about how Reeves sucks Reeves this and that. And I admit i was apart of that group. But why do people just want him back like that.. i mean we let him go why would we re sign him. He's not that much better than quinn, and jackson i'm sorry to hear that.

But this retarded post show no football intellect because anybody who knows football knows a great secondary is a good DL. Our DL got ONE sack on the last play of the game. The whole D Line did absolutely NOTHING to Cassle expect smith's pass bat down.

Now, back to your post wanting reeves back, what would he do so much for this team?? We need pass rusher's buddy. LB's. CB aren't an issue with us right now.
 
couple weeks ago against Oakland, receiver caught a total of 5 passes. all game. So all you poster that think it's the CB's. it's more slow ass Pollard and the softest interior pass rushers in the game. So please shut up and stop crying about the CB's because it's not the CBs.

wow, who the hell are you? When teams come in and pass for damn near 500 yards every game, I'd have to say yeah there might be a problem with your CB's. As far as Pollard being slow or whatever he's the only bright light I'm seeing in the back field. At least when they do catch the ball he knocks the piss out of them, so that when they do go to catch again they hear footsteps. Interior linemen, I tend to agree with you. We've never gotten that push up the middle.

Slow ass Pollard? Dude, come on..... Pollard may not be the best cover SS in the league, but to even mention him as a reason for our defensive woes is rediculous. His job is to support to corners, stop the run, cover TE's and RB's in the passing game.

I got you all beat, I'm planning on taking Kasey Studdards' job. I'll hold down the sidelines better and yell and scream to get the guys pumped up. And I'll do that for the low Price of 500,000. It's like the same as retiring and becoming a Walmart greeter, I think I can do it ;)

Hey, let's go down to the bubble this week, I'll be the QB, you be the receiver. I'll show Pollard what you think about his game; he'll then cover you. You run a route across the middle of the field, and I'll hit you in stride. Pollard's slow ass will be coming at you from the direction you are going. I can't wait to see you show him up!!!!

Agreed. Reeves was never a good corner. Have we sunk this far as a defensive team that fans are begging to have Reeves here again? Reeves would probably be sucking just as hard right now. The Texans management decided to roll the dice with the rookie, so we're just going to have to watch this thing play out.

What the hell man? What's with the name calling? I'm throwing my opinion out there same as everyone else on this board. Calling me a moron for asking about Molden...seriously man?

Our entire defense has problems. No pass rush only makes our secondary problems more glaring. Simply because we can't get to the QB doesn't mean Jackson and McCain aren't doing their jobs. They've been as bad as everyone else on the D. Texans gave Troy Nolan a shot after Wilson played poorly. Letting Molden go out there to see if he can prove himself isn't such an asinine idea.

Bad DB's keep getting burned and it's the pass rush...the only way that the pass rushers could help these guys is if they give them tips on how to cover receivers.

Looks like Hulk75 just came back to the board, except he learned how to spell a little better now. Since no one else is David Carr's brother, then no one else has any "football intellect."

I don't think he'd any better though personally. Teams don't just find random CB's to save their asses this late in the season though man. That just doesn't happen. We're stuck with what we got. We might be able to sign on another player, but we won't be finding any saviors at CB this late in the season. Thank our wonderful GM for throwing all caution to the wind in our secondary. But have no fear, we will build through the draft as usual and one day we'll have that dynasty team from all of our drafts. :worldpeace:

Ok, I'll be cheerleader for Pollard, because I bet when they catch it EVERY time he is going to knock the snot out of them EVERY time. TE's catch short passes, that's what they do.

It seems like any NFL game you watch, TE's catch the ball. They run a short route, get open, make a catch, and get tackled quickly. I can't believe you didn't mention Dallas Clark. He kills Pollard. (and every other strong safety in the league I guess)
