Rogers seems to be on the trading block.
I know he's not even starting for the Browns any more.
I don't think that has to do with his production though.

Any chance the Texans take a flyer on this guy? He's a Pro Bowl caliber defensive tackle. He can really rush the passer from the defensive tackle position. He is from the Houston area originally. We have jack squat at the defensive tackle position.

I'd love to trade for him if it was a later round pick, which I'm sure the Browns would do at this point.

Defensive tackle has to be the least productive set of players on the team.

Needs are not what I am talking about though at the moment.
I am talking about taking a flyer on a Pro Bowl type that could possibly come in and help fix the most glaring weakness on the team. That is the inability to get pressure on the qb.

We could use a FS, CB, DE, etc.

I would put the inability to get pressure on the qb as the highest priority by quite a bit actually. If we had even a poor pass rush, our pass defense would be light years better. We have a non-existent one at the moment. We need to focus on improving it to simply poor.

Why the hell would someone move this to the NFL forum and out of the Texand forum? lol
Did they not read the thread?

If the Texans are reported to be looking at a player or the player is connected in the press to the Texans then the thread goes in Texans Talk. If it is just discussion of a player from another team then it goes in the NFL forum.

Shaun Rogers seems to only be getting about 6-7 snaps a game. He has been nicked up quite a bit. Rogers was replaced by Rubins at nose tackle in part because Rogers would freelance and take himself out of too many plays.

Rubin does a much better job anchoring the middle in the 3-4. As fans we were all expecting Rogers to be moved to the D-end position and turned loose. Of course the Manginious could not see the potential in that move.

I personally believe Rogers is frustrated with his use and would welcome a move, especially to a contender like the Texans.

I would guestimate his value at no more than a 5-6 round pick. He is notorious for being out of shape. Maybe that is why he does not see much action.

For that, He can sit in the middle & eat little debbie cakes all day, I would tell him to not let anyone push him out of the way or run by his fat ass.....
