Official Heisman Thread

Its still wide open, but right now I would say the top 5...

1. Denard Robinson, Michigan

This dude is off the chain. I am a Michigan fan as well so I have been watching him all season. He is the new Pat White. But a better runner. I guess you could say a baby child of Pat White and Steve Slaton. If he can stay healthy the entire season he will be a lock to finish top 2.

2. Kellen Moore, Boise State

As much as we bang on Boise for their schedule and what not, Kellen Moore is lights out with his TD-INT ratio and accuracy. He will need a big game against OSU this weekend to have a chance to win the Heisman.

3. Ryan Mallett, Arkansas

With a huge game against Georgia this past weekend, Mallett is rising in my book. He will be tested all year with stiff competition so if he keeps it up he will have a good chance.

4. Andrew Luck, Stanford

A perfect 10-0 TD-INT ratio against UCLA, Wake Forest, and Sac. State. Has Notre Dame next and should be able to slice and dice them to keep in the top 5.

5. LaMichael James, Oregon

This Duck Attack is freaking scary. I cant see them losing the PAC-10 this year. And with James getting chunks of yards on the ground and through the air, his stats could be off the chart.

On the bubble but still very much in the race.

Terrell Pryor, Ohio State
John Clay, Wisconsin
Mark Ingram, Alabama
Nick Foles, Arizona
Noel Devine, West Virgina

Heisman update:

1. Denard Robinson, Michigan (Still had 300+ yards of offense and 2TD's)
2. Kellen Moore, Boise State (Another great week against a bad team)
3. LaMichael James, Oregon (James is crazy fast. Looking really good all year)
4. Andrew Luck, Stanford (looked great against USC with 3 touchdown passes)
5. Terrell Pryor, Ohio State (Great game against Indiana. Good test coming up vs. Wisc)

On the bubble:

Cam Newton, Auburn
Ryan Mallett, Arkansas
Kiwi's Taylor Martinez
Nick Foles, Arizona
John Clay, Wisconsin

Let's see how my boy Martinez does against a defense full of athletes this week v. Texas.

If he still shines through I think his name keeps bubbling up.

IMO, it's a 3 horse race between Cam Newton, Kellen Moore and Lemichael James.

Andrew Luck might be the best player of the bunch imo, but I don't think he'll have the stats that Heisman campaigns require.

No way Ingram wins it again. He's not nearly special enough to be in the 2-time-heisman-winner club.

And another big day for Newton. Kid is pretty impressive toting the rock.
Newton is a beast, just wish he would throw the ball a bit more. Still, barring a major meltdown, Newton is locked to win that Heisman. A 6'6 250 lb. QB running for ~217 yards is just crazy! Especially against a pretty good LSU defense.

I would like to see LaMichael James win it (probably won't happen). I understand the Heisman is based on the current year performance but James has been consistent player at Oregon unlike Newton who had one good season which was this year.

They should have given it to Ndamukong Suh to make up for last year and apologized to fans everywhere for mucking things up so badly.
