Pregame sideline pass

they're super hard to come by :-( It's friggin amazing to do though!!! They told us that the Texans are the only NFl team that allow it; I dunno about that.

Yep, done it twice, pretty cool, makes you realize just how big those dudes are. Mario made other big dudes look small.

I got some sideline passes for a pre-season game against Chicago a couple of years ago. Matt Turk is a pretty big fella and he's the damn punter.

Watch out for the yellow dashed line, they don't like people crossing it.

I won passes from the team a couple years ago for the MNF game against the Jags. Got dinner in the VIP lounge under the stands and seats in one of the mega-suites. I think it was Toro's Extra Points or something.

It was cool. Actually, that night it was frickin' freezing.

Did not get to talk to anyone. But I did tip toe across the yellow line when no one was looking. tee hee.

what exactly does it let you do? Just get on the sidelines while they warm up?

They have you show up 90 mins early at some glass doors by the comcast gate and walk you through Reliant to a room near the tunnel where breakfast/brunch/ drinks are waiting. (food selections alone, I was amazed. there was also a gift for the attendees.) For ours, Toro and 10 or so of the cheerleaders made a showing for photos. about an hour prior to kickoff, they hand out sideline lanyards and power towels, and provide instructions. You walk out the tunnel (not the same one the players use unfortunately, but nonetheless, the effect of walking out there leaves one speechless!) This year you've got free reign of walking- just don't cross the yellow media line, and don't hang out behind the player benches or the goal post, as the refs will quickly ask you to move. I don't want to say it was the best day of my life, due to the fact we haven't won our super bowl yet heheh. It was A M A Z I N G! :texflag:

If you ever get a chance to get some, it's a fun experience...not to mention the free beer and food before you go out to the field. You may get to meet some well known people. I got two of them for the TNT game and it was awesome. My friend and I got to meet Bum Phillips and stood in the end zone while the Texans warmed up.

I did not represent well on Sunday. If fact, they removed my wristband and escorted me out to the masses.

All I have to say to that is that... Jeff Fisher shouldn't have been standing five feet away from my mouth. Just shouldn't!!!

Sounds like you represented very well! :D

I think I would have been doing the same thing...you took one for the team my friend. Sucks they escorted you out.

They didn't kick us out of the stadium. Just removed our wristbands and sent us out from the tunnels. We went straight to our seats.

They weren't too mad about it.

Oh in that case I really would have been having a field day yelling at him :bravo: My friend and I were yelling at Finnegan when he ran out for practice, luckly security didn't bother us about it (i'm sure they were agreeing with us in the inside)

It's a good time the first time...I have passed on them more times than I have taken them...nothing all that big about it. But for sideline virgins, it is fun !!

Hobie, if you gety some more.......

I'm just sayin', hook a fella up!

Err - to clarify sideline pass itself =/= free food or drink.
I have been twice now and never saw any free food or drink. I was specifically told to eat before going in at 9am to practice holding the flag last Sunday. Their suggestion to me was to pack a cooler and eat on my way to Houston from Austin.

Probably depends on the event host that brings you to the sideline as both of my visits were for different things.

My brother and I went to the Postgame reception that day, essentially a meeting area outside the locker rooms for players' friends and families to wait for them. Neat idea in theory but not a place for fans to be. It was muy awkward.

Well there may be more than one kind of sideline pass, IDK. I had a corporate sponsors VIP pass. We went through a gate that said Corporate Sponsors access, went to a room where they had a big spread of food and free beer :barman:, and then when we were ready we could go out to the sidelines and watch them warm-up.

I won a sideline experience from the Texans (Toro's Extra Points I think) for the MNF game against the Jags a couple years back. It included the full spread, meet and greet with cheerleaders (twins!) and Toro, plus the trip to the sideline pre-game.

Yup :)

For example, someone may win a contest that includes the VIP tent with food and drink, but just having a sideline pass itself does not get you into that tent. If that makes sense.

Never been in the bubble for the pregame party, wonder if it is any good.

You talking about the Churracho's club? If so, I've been this year although I didn't get a sideline pass that day. Lol.

I thought it was okay. A bit disco-ish. The food's better at Blue Crew. The a/c was NICEEEEEE as I went on a HOT day but I wouldn't pay for the Churracho's club experience again. If it was free, sure.
