So, is your secondary so awful that even Matt Cassel can throw against it, or what? He sucks pretty bad.
 
Well, how do you think you will do against Dwayne Bowe? He's having a crappy year and so are all our wideouts.

We have a rookie TE named Tony Moeaki who is doing really well, though.
 
Keep in mind most of the people here are still pissy over the Giants game, but yes, our secondary is a glaring weakness.

While I do hope that my Texans dominate, let's just say that I will be definitely starting Dwayne Bowe this week. I started sitting him after week 2, but if anything can put him back on track for this season, it's lining up against Kareem Jackson.
 
Here's something that may lift your spirits a bit: You're going to see Bernard Pollard killing Chiefs this week.

I have no doubt about it. He hates the Chiefs for how they dumped him at the start of last year. There was a big blowup with the coaching staff, and they publicly disparaged him.

He's coming to wreck our ****.

Almost forgot that the Texans face the Chiefs. Hopefully they destroy you guys :D. If it means anything, I despise the Chiefs & their fanbase the least out of the 3 other AFCW teams...although that really doesn't mean much :shades:.
 
meh.......there's just as much chance of us whooping the Chiefs 40-3 as there is the Chiefs kicking our asses 40-3. If there's one the the Texans have drilled into my head over the years is to never try and predict them.

Relax, Bowe is in line to have a game to get right. He'll have 120 and 2 td's. Cassel will get 300 and 3-4ish td's. We're just what the doctor ordered for struggling offense.

Too bad (for us) that he can't cover anyone. On a team with good cover guys, I think he would be a great piece, but on the Texans, where the other DBs aren't very good at coverage, his inability is greatly exposed.

TE's have been destroying us this year. Especially if we manage to get pressure and hurry throws, expect him to be pretty open and catching a lot of footballs.

yes.

He could very well make the Pro Bowl off the stats he can put up against our defense.

I think Cushing played decently enough. He was able to get pressure and at least not be completely out of position like most of our D always is. The problem is that people's expectations were way too high for his return. I think fans were expecting immediate sacks, forced fumbles, ints, etc...

Dwayne Bowe is going to look like Jerry Rice this Sunday if they don't fix that secondary, cause right now the only thing they're stopping is tailgaters.
 
I think we will win, but I'm not expecting a blowout. I sure as hell hope they do win, obviously because we need the win to get us back on track, and it will be my daughter's first game. :texflag:
 
Todd Haley is one of myfavorite coaches in the NFL. I'm also sure that he has tourettes syndrome. I also think that Glenn Dorsey has been a monster this year. This is going to be a good game (I hope), and I really hope the Chiefs take the AFCW away from smug Charger fans.

You are aware that they are 3-2 and in 1st place within the division. Should they beat KC this weekend they will go into the bye week at 4-2. If you would be honest with yourself, you would admit that going into this season, you would be happy with 4-2 given the Cushing suspension and not knowing that Brown would be suspended.

My original prediction for this was 3-3. Now I'm hoping I was wrong, as 4-2 would be very nice.

But your point is a good one. I'll bet that before the season started no one predicted the Texans would foul up their passing game yet lead the league in rushing. That just shows how unpredicitable the NFL truely is. Most especially the Texans!! LOL

Todd Haley, Charlie Weiss, Dwayne Bowe and Matt Cassel will do their best to make sure your daughters first Texans game is a win. Just hope the Texans secondary and Romeo Crennel and the Chiefs defense don't mess up your plans.

Welcome to the MB. I am interested in how you evaluate your run defense? I expect a different play book from Kubes this weekend. Need to keep our Dbs off the field as much as we can.

The strength of our run defense is basically our two middle linebackers, two defensive ends and strong safety.

Glenn Dorsey and Shaun Smith are like brick walls. Very tough to run off tackle plays against us. Derrick Johnson and Jovan Belcher have been sure tacklers in the middle and very good at shedding blockers and knowing their gap assignments.

Berry has been outstanding playing in the box. He'll fly to the ball.

Our nose tackle, Ron Edwards, is not the greatest. But occasionally he'll be spelled by Smith in the middle, who is a better option.

If Tyson Jackson is back this week at LDE - and he's pretty stout, too - Smith will see more action at NT most likely.

The biggest thing about our run D is they tackle very, very well. And last week we did a great job playing run D out of the nickel against Manning. Dorsey and Wallace Gilberry (our nickel DT/DE) got a lot of penetration.

Welcome aboard and thanks for the good football conversation! Y'all have been very impressive this season, thus far. Sunday should be interesting. Texans fans are up in arms, however if the Texans win, we go into the bye week 4-2. A lot is on the line, because if we lose, there will be so many Texans fans that we'll have to "talk off the ledge". LOL!!

Jacoby Jones can twist a punt return off once in awhile. Steve Slaton returning kick-offs = FAIL! Matt Turk is well, Matt Turk and Neil Rackers (IMO) is suspect.
