Why this year do we only get 1 early game and 1 afternoon game (not including Texans).

I was looking for the Tacks game and asked the same question. Last year it was cbs and fox. This year it seems to be only cbs. Fox follows the Girls and seems to be why we watched it last week on fox.
But I'm not sure why.

Am I missing something here? Haven't they always had three games showing on fox & cbs? One network gets the doubleheader and the other shows only one game a week. Fox had the doubleheader this week, and CBS showed the Texans game in the Texas area, which was why they didn't have an early game.
Yes, it's always been that way. I have never seen both networks having doubleheaders throughout the entire season. However I think a few years ago they started with a week or 2 before the playoffs both networks would a get a doubleheader. So you probably will see this in week 16 and 17.
BTW, I doubt they will ever go to 2 doubleheaders every week. The NFL is too greedy to do that. It would cut down on their NFL Sunday Ticket sales.
