Sick sick sick

Totally disagree... Rackers had already missed a 47yrd field goal, he was going to miss that one as well, and leave the Skins a short field.

i agree. trying a fg was the wrong play too. we shouldve gone for it though. we had marched down the field keep going we can get 4 yds

I won't argue that point, I felt we should have tried on 4th down, but hey, can't argue with the outcome now can we? :)

I was ok with the punt .... it was the result of the punt that sucked. Had Turk burried the Skins deep instead of kicking it into the endzone .... ugh. :user:

Dude it is football and we beat a good team, Bring on the Cowboys

We'll find out how good the Skins are as the season unfolds. They look pretty good, or we looked pretty bad (defensively). I'm listening to 610 right now, dude's talking about our defense gave up 35 yards on three 4th Qtr possesions...

If we could have started the game like that, I don't think Washington would have looked so good.

But we'll see.

I wouldn't get so hung up on how a team looks for the duration of the season..On any given Sunday any team can look like a superbowl champ or they can look like the team that will have the #1 overall...

Last year, the cowboys went into the Saints house and ended their win streak and perfect season....

That game had nothing to do with the caliber of each of those teams...

When NE was going for a perfect record they had a lot of games that came down to the wire...

Titans go 14-2 and lose their first play-off game....

Texans dismantle the seahawks last year but lose to Oakland and have to fight really hard to beat St. Louis...

Learning how to win games on a consistent basis, no matter the circumstances, is the first step...It looks like the team is learning how to do that....

Learning how to win play-off games is the next step...Hopefully we will get a chance to gain some experience in that arena later this season...

I wouldnt have attempted the FG.

I would have had my offense go for it on 4th and 4. No need to put our defense back out on the field. Worst case senario is that they get it on the 30-35 yard line. We punted and only put them back 12-15 yards at the 20.

It wouldn't have mattered anyway, within a play or two they had driven past where they would have gotten the ball if Rackers would have missed.

We didn't lose to Oakland in 2009, we killed them. We lost the year before, after squeaking by the Titans the week before (13-12 Tacks). Had we won that game, and beat Chicago the following week (which we did, spoiling their play-off hopes) we would have finished 9-7 in 2008.
