NFL TV Coverage Map: Week 2

Does Dallas just hate everything about Houston? I can't believe a Pats/Jets tilt would hold more interest than a game that included an up & coming in-state team versus a NFC East rival.

Am I reading the map correctly that says Austin will get Fins/Vikes rather than their hero squaring off with the Steelers? Talk about keeping Austin weird...

They're showing Texans up here in Amarillo, TX. Of course, the normal pattern for our local CBS affiliate is to show the first 2-3 Texans games and then they stop showing them for the rest of the season.

I attribute that to the poor 5-game start that Kubiak HAD traditionally been known for. Show our game for a few weeks, then they transition to showing Broncos games.

The Cowboys could be 1-15 one year, 3-13 the next year, and 2-14 after that...and the local Fox affiliate would still show all of their games in the 4th year.

That's what happens when you win Super Bowls and had owned the Texas market for so long. Hopefully, we will win the Super Bowl this year and garner the same following.

Yep, it's Dolphins/Vikings here.

GP, Amarillo? I hope the best. I was there. (did we talk about this already?)

Can't remember. In another thread, back in the summer, me and NitroHonda were talking about The Big Texan in Amarillo (where he and his wife ate, while they were visiting his wife's family near Amarillo).

NitroHonda, IIRC, ended up eating the whole 72 oz. steak and all the trimmings within the 1-hour timeframe. Free steak, free misery. LOL.

I told him next time he was up here that I needed to meet up with him somewhere. Maybe that's how you knew that I'm in Amarillo?

Jerry Jones must have something to do with that. All of Texas and even into Oklahoma had the Texans, all except the DFW market. This isn't the first time that has happened, it happens all of the time. Jerry must consider the Texans a threat to his turf. Imagine how humiliated he would be if the Texans played in the Super Bowl in the house Jerry built and his team didn't even make the playoffs.
