"Lets get Schobel" Campaign

No More 8-8's

Waterboy
I really do think the Texans can have a big year, especially after yesterdays victory. But obviously with Barwin being gone for the season, Aaron Schobel would be a huge upgrade.

Yes, yes, yes. We know he is retired. But there is no harm in trying right? I mean, the Texans try hard every Sunday, and we should return the favor.

So I have the information of Schobel's restaurant in Columbus. Here you go:
2020 Milam Street
Columbus, TX 78934-3102

Perhaps a letter writing campaign to really show how much we want him on this team.

Here is also the restaurant's email address:
schobelsrestaurant@gmail.com

If you would like to show Aaron some love. Get in touch. This may be a bit grass roots, but I dont think he is on twitter.

What do you guys think?

Leonard Little Still Not Sure About Coming Back in 2010
Posted by Jeff Roman under 2010 Free Agency

Leonard Little is still in limbo as far as playing in 2010 for the Rams or any other team in the NFL. Little has only played for the St. Louis Rams in his 12 years in the NFL. Little was a revelation early in the season in 2009 before he ran out of gas. He almost single-handedly won the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Little was interviewed by the Post-Dispatch.

“Sometimes I feel like I want to come back,” Little said. “Sometimes I feel like I don’t. It’s a hard decision to make when you’re used to playing football. I’ve been playing football since I was 5 years old.

“I love the game. And I do miss it. But my decision is not going to be about football. It’s going to be about other things — things I’d rather not talk about right now.”

It is obvious Leonard is weighing something personal that is not football related. Little can still play in the NFL as a situational pass-rusher. Little is home in the Charlotte, NC working out and potentially sorting out his personal issues. If Little feels ready to play in the NFL in 2010, the Rams will probably be his first call.

Best of luck to Leonard taking care of what he needs to in his personal life and quickly returning to the Rams.

I don't want Leonard Little. The guy shouldn't have even been playing in the NFL over the last few seasons, much less now. I highly doubt that Mcnair would go after a guy with a track record like him any way.

ON the radio this morning they were discussing Derrick Burrgess. I wouldn't mind giving him a shot.

There's a lot worse options out there than Adewale Ogunleye. This team
just keeps stacking talent. They have a couple options on the practice squad
they they haven't even LOOKED at yet.

Little played under defensive line coach Bill Kolar in St Louis back in the turn of the century.

Man it would be nice if Schobel worked out. I think the Texans are covering themselves with these other work outs (and hell no I don't want Leonard friggin Little) but are hoping Schobel sees enough in the team to want to play again. I'd go up to him and say you don't want to play for the Bills again...not you don't want to play again. Look we just beat the Colts, by any standard a pretty damn good team, without our DROY and with a disaster of an injury early. Our team is good, oh and Big Bob says "you want 8 mil? Make it 9." What do you think Aaron? You wanna be our cherry on top?

I think he's scared.

He doesn't want the big money and then ends up flopping out there.

Sounds like he is over and out.

That's fine. It likely isn't going to happen since we're trying out a few others this week. Otherwise, this would have been done today by about 9 a.m. The more players we try out, the less it makes Schobel feel like he's preciously wanted by us.

I say we stop the Boddenizing (The act of bowing down to sports stars, begging them to play for our team). Boddenizing should be illegal.

Schobel should at least work out if he wants to negotiate his price. If he can impress in a workout, it might help all the other conditions for a deal to fall into place.

As far as this has gone, even IF he were in the slightest interested, I would expect that he will want to see one more game to see if the Texans are for real.

Love that term! Needs to be added to the TTMB dictionary.

I would call the Giants and see what they want for the disgruntle Osi Umenyiora. I think he along with Mario, Smith would make the D-line super awesome....
