I know you don't want to hear it. But considering "everyone" knows the Titans' schedule is just as "tough" as ours, how would you feel if the Titans started 5-0 in 2010?

Oakland
Pittsburgh
NYGiants
Denver
Dallas

Jacksonville
Philly
San Diego
Miami
Washington
Houston
Jacksonville
Indy
Houston
Kansas City
Indy

(They play Miami & Pittsburgh , We play Baltimore and the NYJets, that's the only difference between their schedule and ours.)

Looking at the schedule, the Titans could and should start the season 6-2. Then we will find out if they are just a good team or a great team when the meet the Chargers.

The Titans get a true mid season off week. 8 games before and 8 games after. 4 home/road each half. Cowboys, Chargers and Texans are the tough road games. They get Indy on the road in week 17, which is very good for the Titans. Indy may have nothing to play for at that point. Then again, so may the Titans.

It all depends on the defense. The Titans will score. I fully expect the Titans to be among the NFL leaders in scoring this season. They have alot of weapons and with an improved passing game it will be very very tough to stop them. If VY can get the play action down, this offense can be scary good.

If the DLine continues to improve and the Titans get what they think they will from their #1 pick Derrick Morgan the defense can be very good. If by some miracle Big Albert comes back home the Titans are a Super Bowl defense.

This of course is contingent on the team's key players staying healthy. If CJ goes down thats all she wrote.

I know they have the Titans tied for 1st with the Texans for the toughest schedule, but I dont see it. I think the Texans schedule is much tougher.

The Titans & Colts are division rivals. They play Week 17. The Texans & The Jags round out the AFC South, they also play week 17. There's a good chance those two games will decide the Division champs, and if the AFC South will send a wildcard to the play-offs.

Big Ben being out for the first 4 weeks has a lot to do with that. Dumerville being out also helps with the Titans playing them early. Not playing the Jets & Baltimore help as well.

But Houston, Jacksonville, Indy, Houston, Kansas City, Indy... that's a brutal way to end the year, especially if Indy still hasn't clinched a spot.

I have those pencilled in as losses. Road games in NFC East stadiums are hell and I don't think the Titan team is good enough to withstand those tests. They could conceivably beat the Giants, but no way on Dallas.

No one does more with less than Jeff Fisher. It's possible, but I hope it does not happen.

Dumerville was put on IR. He's out for the year.

Understood, my thinking is that they'll have to learn to play without him. Week 4, maybe they have someone to take his place, maybe not. It is more likely that they have it figured out when we play them late in Denver.

It's also possible they can be totally decimated on defense when we play them, and it would be a plus for us. But looking ahead, I would rather play them early.
