HOF Game- Cincy and Cowboys

cowboys driving down the field

romo and those receivers are looking good (Roy Williams with a nice catch)

Cowboys fumble at the one and Bengals recover however

oh wow offsides on the bengals .(lined up in the neutral zone)

well field goal try by cowboys

Cowboys drive stalled in the redzone

3-0 cowboys

I didn't know Roy Williams (safety) went to the bengals.. they said he dropped about 20 or 30 lbs

Just started watching. Cincy and Dallas. Anybody go to jail yet? Fined?

Good to see football back, preseason or not. :fieldgoal All I need now is cold weather and I'm set! :snowday:

come on Al Michaels .. Dez says that didn't know about the rookie hazing, come on , this stuff has been going on for years and years

that was an ugly series by the Bengals 3 and out .. hell the Dez bryant conversation lasted longer LOL

My one thought for preseason...I don't care if you go 0-4, please don't get hurt.

Awesome speech by Emmitt last night. Selfless guy. Great stuff.

I feel the same, please no injuries. So far I am very impressed with Phillips. Um, McGee, so far so good.

I watched the speech for the second time today and Emmitt was awesome. Of course since I'm female I could shed a tear or two. It was good to see the number of team members at the Enshrinement, and was really great to see Step and for him to include Pono's name when thanking Tui.

I caught the Pono mention too...good catch!

Uhhhhhgggggg.. Why couldn't Emmitt Smith have played for any other team? Why did he have to play for that yankee team from dallas? I really want to like him. It's just that damn team....

His tribute to his linemen and Moose was great. He had no notes or anything. I've seen nothing but incredible responses. It was good to see Step out there.

Emmitt's speech was very well done and I knew he would wear his heart on his sleeve because he's just that kind of guy. It's amazing to watch the reaction of these big burly guys reduced to tears over being inducted in the HOF. It's always fun to listen to their recollections of teammates and games and their NFL playing time. What makes the NFL great.

He was great. Jerry Rice looks like he did the day he retired. Hasn't changed a bit.

No kidding. When he said "no more running" I thought 'this guy looks like he runs from the house to the car before going to work in the morning.'

I always knew Jerry was a workout machine but after watching the various HOF stories about him and just how hard he did work it is no wonder he excelled. He's a magnificent athlete. Just one of those guys you go "how did he do that?"

Michael Irvin said he's the best football player ever. I don't really have an argument against that opinion...

To me, the best speech last night was Floyd Little. That man is very well spoken and just gets "it". He sees the bigger picture of what life is all about and he seems like a great man. I was really happy for him and his family for the honor bestowed upon him. I could listen to him talk for hours I think. When he was speaking about his family and life, you could just see that everything was genuine.

boy the Bengals are in trouble without Palmer

I thought it was ugly earlier and the game continues to look ugly

(well it is expected for the first game but....)

I missed most of his induction speech..heard raves about it. Will catch it online somewhere and listen to it. I am sure it was great from all I've heard.

I had tickets for years..saw a TON of preseason games and for the life of me I can't remember one of them.

So I'm either really old and the brain is failing or the games are really that bad.

I'm going to say it's a bit of both.

Funny, I heard Tony Homo says that to his BFF Jason Whitten alot in their room!!!! :thisbig:

I'm really not in the mood for smack tonight, and anything I say at this point will be pretty lame. Perhaps after a good nights sleep and a good breakfast in the morning I will consider a witty comeback. Until then, :smooch:

Lmao! You know I'm just messing with ya cowgirls fan....

I'm surprised Al Michaels was surprised at the one-point conversion. Doesn't he know teams would rather lose in preseason than go to OT?

Come on now guys, of course the Bengals would be screwed if Palmer went down. So would about 30 other NFL teams. :P And if you think the Bengals and/or Cowboys back-up QBs look bad, wait until you see our own John David Booty and Dan Orlovsky, heh. It's preseason, let 'em play and just hope no one gets injured. I saw Crocker go down during the telecast(not sure the extent) and heard the Cowboys lost one of their backup TEs with a torn ACL.

We watch the game, we comment, and the things you say we are well aware. I don't think we were out to give any news-breaking insights on anything. What prompted the comments was the INT right off the bat, nothing really to say here. Geez.

I didn't see it live but saw a replay of the speech and the "highlite" when Emmit, balling like a little girl, told Moose he loved him.
Heard that later Emmit asked Moose to go to California with him and get married, maybe a Cowboy fan could confirm this rumor ?

I checked out Mr. Little's speech based on your post and it was great..thanks. Awesome speech and a proud time for him and his family and fans. Touching.

Is that you Rich Lord? No need to get up in arms. It's only a preseason game.

Last night was anti-climactic... Sure football started. WooooHooooo!!!

But we were stuck watching that turd of a game.... :gun:

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooo!

I must say, Jordon Palmer has to be one of the worst backup QB's I've ever seen. Carson, I lnow he's your brother, but come on dude, you have to do what's best for the team.

His receivers basically gave up on him towards the end of the game.

Alex Barron looked God-awful

Thank goodness Doug Free is comming along nicely.

I agree. Free definitely held his own. He should have a huge chip on his shoulder after hearing the media constant bashing this off-season. Especially Jamie Dukes

The Cowboys TE Phillips was owning everybody last night. Unfortunately, he tore his ACL and will miss the 2010 season.

Hate seeing players go down in pre-season no matter the team they play for, especially in the HOF game
