It's not whether he has anything left in the tank, because he has something, it's about his attitude and if there even is a place for him on this roster, and that answer is no. We don't have any need for a WR and especially one that comes with all of that baggage.
 
I dont see this happening. For one, the Texans are stacked at receiver. Add in his character issues and rapidly declining skills, it wont happen.
 
Anyone else notice how 610's turned into a total garbage station with Wexler and Jackson gone? That station's lost a lot of IQ points as exhibited by the TO discussion.

Next time you listen in to 610, time the commercial advertisement to sports content ratio. If you enjoy advertisments, you will be glued to your radio.:gun:

I got Sirius radio for Christmas and I have to say that the NFL station is pretty fantastic. Every host is an ex-player/ex-front office guy for the most part and are very knowledgeable and answer a lot of things most football fans wonder. Its obvious they filter the calls to only nitty gritty football stuff (for example less Roethlesberger/Vick legal rambling and more x's and o's/depth chart talk).

I felt guilty when I got it because I knew I'd listen to much less (if any at all) local radio and miss Texans/Rockets/Astros stuff but I have to say now its well worth it. Besides even when they discuss the Texans/Rockets/Astros on local radio here its usually uninformed drivel anyways so I don't think I'm missing much.
 
TO is not needed here, he is not going to be the starter, and he does not play special teams. Is he good, no question, but there has to be a reason teams are not keeping him for more than 2 years.
 
For once the McNair image of signing squeaky clean players sounds good after reading this thread. This won't happen, I wouldn't worry about it.
 
If you are going to be a disruptive influence in a dressing room, you have to bring a whole suitcase full of game.

TO left his game with his youth...all he has left now if media work.

I occassionally drop by for Rome but that show is barely hanging on now that Travis Rodgers is no longer producing the show

TO is good enough to play and arguably start as our 2 or 3 wr
but the media circus and distractions aren't worth it
they weren't worth it when he was all-pro so why even bother bringin it up610

he will end up at a team to drum up interest ala last years Bills
or a team suffers a major injury at WR ala Seahawks last year

go texans y'all

Just curious SH, do you catch Travis Rodgers once a week in 1560?? He's freakin' outstanding. He also was flown in to host a show for a week by 1560.... Which set him up in 5 star accomodations....

he was the lifeblood of the real jungle
not this kiss up version going on now (still is good at times though)

How about the fact that he's an over the hill receiver who would have the worse hands than David Anderson, Andre Davis, and Jacoby Jones?

This isn't just because of his image or because he's a former Cowboy, he showed almost nothing in Buffalo.

For the record, Vandermeer was against it. The other dude was saying it might be ok. He said TO would probably be our #2 WR if we signed him.
 
IF TO was on this team, we would literally have 3X as many dropped passes as we've had the past two seasons. Why on earth would this offense want a guy like that on the team. He's useful, possibly, for a team without a big play threat at WR. We have plenty of that. Our chemistry and balance at WR is perfect. AJ demands constant double teams and does everything. Jacoby is very explosive. KW has excellent size, runs great routes and catches everything. DA is quick with very good hands and the ability to catch the ball low in traffic. It's a ridiculous thought!
 
I switched to 790 shortly after Matt J and Wex left. I guess it was good timing. I just can't stand Lopez at times.

For having 3 major sports talk radio stations in this city you MAYBE MAYBE could get a full days worth of decent programming. MAYBE.

EDIT: God forbid if 790 ever pulls the plug on good ol Charlie P.
 
610's only way of getting listeners is to be controversial. If you listen to their afternoon bit, they almost always take opposing sides of an issue. It's like the talking heads on TV news who just live to be contrarians to keep the show going, because if they ever did compromise and come up with a solution the world would cease to exist.
 
Been thinking about this! Picking up TO would be like "bitoach" slapping the best WR in the NFL right smack dab in the face, THEN holding him down and kicking him in the balls!!! WE HAVE AJ!!!!! The epitomy of professionalism!! We don't need a media hungry sucker like TO, who forgets to get down to business each and every Sunday! I don't care how good he IS, WAS, or might be!!! Let someone else try to tame him!! JMO!
 
I havent listened to local sports talk for months now. Its pretty awful. Vandemeer and Lopez are good on their own, but a terrible team. Plus i get the feeling that Lopez is a bit of a perv.

I have gladly been listening to NFL Radio on Sirius. Best decision i ever made, even though they rarely talk about the Texans. Just good to hear solid, SMART, football banter.

Also, they just came out with a Fantasy Sports Channel, so they have been able to get me ready for the FF draft.

The best radio on radio!! I have been listening to Sirius NFL Radio for over three years now. I don't know what I would do without it.
