madden predicts 2006 season?

Today is the day that madden comes out so I picked up a copy and simed the season. And I didn't think the season would end up like it did. We finish 6-10, with loses to the cardinals, bills, steelers, bengals, seahawks, colts and jaguars twice and split the series with the titans. But we did finish with the 8th best offense. But the 31st ranked defense and some how got 52 sacks? Carr had a 66.5 passer rating and had 2,942 yards, 20 TDs and 24 ints. DD had 1,323 rushing yards and 8 TDs along with 398 recieving yards and 6 TDs. AJ had 1,342 yards and 13 TDs and also made the pro bowl. Wong made the pro bowl with 121 tackles, 9 sacks and 2 ints. Some how G-Funk got 12 sacks and R. Smith got 8. But there is one reason I know this season could never happen, and that is McKinney had given up no sacks.

Well...I'm not gonna watch the Texans if that's what's gonna happen! Anyone know what's on the TV on Sunday afternoons BESIDES football?

Seriously F-minus67...I know you just did this for fun. Problem is you could sim the season 10 times and you'll get different results each time. In the first Madden with the Texans in it I had sims with the Texans reaching the Superbowl but they always lost it. It's a game that using a lot of randoms to get results. Sim it and Carr could get put on IR in week one. Sim it again and the Texans may go 2-0 vs the Colts with no injuries. Talent ratings count but never guarantee (sorta like real life) an accurate result.

Talent Ratings + Randoms = Unknown Results

Exascor, chill out. I thought it would be interesting to see was a none biased computer would spit out when given close ratings of players and teams. And I know computers can't factor in reality, since the texans digital counterparts got 52 sacks, 12 coming from Walker.

Once I get my Madden for the PC in a few days, I am going to run the same test. The difference.. I am (for the fun of it people, get a life) going to print out each game and compare the actual game to the fake one. I know Madden can be way off or way on, but I think it would be fun to compare. It would be sooooo funny if the game is close on a few games on stats. :ouch:

One way to possible get the same result is by simming it at the same time of day. I believe they probably use the clock as a random seed. You would have to run the sim and note the time and date. Then put the system time of the PS2 back day and run the sim at the exact system time. I wonder if that would work. :hmmm:

Actually, all of the NFL teams on Madden are really close on rating.. and if u similate a season the stats are all screwy. I similated and the texans finished 6-10 also, and David also threw lk 23 int and 68 rating. Sooo I dont think it matters how many times you similate it. It will all be pretty close numbers. Most of the QB's had low ratings, and I saw some of the RB's hav lk 500 carries and 2500 yards.. -_-

I did the same thing multiple times in with the 05 version... the first time we went 11-5... the second time we went 5-11... simming madden doesnt give a good acount of anything. Also. on the 06 version they still have Wong playing OLB and Peek backing him up.. i had to move him. They aslo have TJ listed as a DT.. have to move him to sub in for G-Funk.

You know you have to alter the rosters right? Noltice that you have Evans and Polk starting at LB unless you change the Depth Chart.
