This might be surprising, but Houston is the number one dark horse team to win Super Bowl 45.

They will have Matt Schaub at quarterback, who just came off of his first Pro Bowl berth. Then, they have the best wide receivers in the NFL in Andre Johnson.

That's a pretty good combo for the Texans.

The defense will be the suspect to watch out for. Brian Cushing will be suspended for the first four games, but I expect the Texans to recover well.

I expect the Houston Texans to make the playoffs as a wild card team and make a shocking run in the playoffs.

Houston could easily be back in their home state playing in Super Bowl 45.

I think everyone knows what the Texans are capable of, but as to whether or not they actually do it remains to be seen.

It is nice though to be finally seen as a team that is not a horrible push over anymore. Thankfully we're past that now and into the area of playoff talk. We'll see.
 
I think most of us could defend a very good season or a very bad one on our favorite team. I choose to be optimistic, at least for now.

I hope/dream it will be so this time. We definately have the ability we just need to do it.

QFT! We've been the team that has "cried wolf" the last season or two. Especially last season where many had us going to the playoffs, only to see us fail to get'r done.

Kinda like the Cardinals were for a while. I just hope we end up in a position similar to the Cards.

Where we go to the Superbowl and then let every single playmaker on the team leave except D. Dockett?

I'm thinking dynasty here. We're so young as a team. AJ still has 2 more peak level years and everybody else on the entire team is still on the upswing.
 
I'm not going to believe it until I see it on ESPN, or NFLN...

I mean Footbasket is a cool guy and everything, but he's a fan.
 
Dream on. There are expectations for this team every year and so far they are perfect at not living up to them. Would of, should of, could of. Every offseason is the same around here. Lots of super bowls and playoffs. Then reality sets in. Until they actually produce what the hype machine is saying I'm not buying into it anymore.

And yes I want the Texans to win and make the playoffs and go on to the superbowl. Especially when it is in Dallas. But they are going to have to show me they can not just that they have the ability.

Double bingo. Our best hope is Frank Bush turning this defense into something special like the 2000 Ravens or the 85 Bears. Something that can overcome mistakes at critical times in a game by the offense and coaching. Actually the defense just needs to be in top 1/3 and force turnovers and I think they would be in the thick of things. As long as Kubiak doesn't call stagger lee 2 again or march Chris Brown out on the field over and over or gameplan for a team 2 weeks ahead (Colts) instead of the team (Titans) they play next and numerous other brain farts that have been debated to death on here already many times.

That should have happened last season. Becoming a legitimate championship contender (winning your division, getting a 1st round bye) would put the Texans back on schedule.

QFT. I said that last night. NO ONE knows whether we'll be 6 wins or 10 wins. Depends if we make a key field goal or two or if we can 1 yard when we need it a few times.
 
I don't believe in settling for mediocrity, but I do believe in giving credit where credit is due--though this Texans staff has done some questionable things they have brought the team to a higher level than it's ever been before. Whether or not they are the group that gets us to where our expectations lie has yet to be seen.

Nevertheless, I am excited for this season as always and I'd like to see them finally arrive. :texflag:
 
what scares me is there are alot og thingd we have never done which we get a chance 2 do this season

never won a divison crown which is something i think we need 2 do screw a WC spot

Beat the CHargers
Beat the Jets

heck there are alot of teams on our sechudle that we have never beaten
