That's even higher than the Titans...

I guess they have us as the 2nd best team in the AFC South. We still got a big game to close to get to the Colts.

Interesting. I'd say that's the shortest odds for the Texans to the big game since our inception?

So with the Texans being the 6th highest AFC team on this list, does it mean they think we'll make the playoffs??

WooHoo, GO TEXANS!!!!

The Giants and Redskins are both 25/1....odd because I think both of those programs are definitely behind the Texans

I don't think those programs are behind the Texans. The Giants aren't that far removed from winning the Super Bowl. And the Redskins have managed to play good defense despite having an offensive scheme that was a freaking joke with the way the play calling was taken away from Zorn. With a real quarterback and one of the most experienced head coaches in the league taking over that team, I think the Redskins will be credible (unless their strange change from a 4-3 to a 3-4 doesn't take).

I think the Giants are far far removed from winning the Super Bowl. Their defense regressed last year to being one of the worst in the league and their front four put 0 pressure on quarterbacks, outside of Tuck no one on the d-line had a good season. Their starting safety for much of the season was CC Brown. They were killed on deep balls like nobody's business. And to be honest offensively they regressed too. Eli didn't take the next step we've all expected and their running game is no where near where it used to be, Jacobs is a shell of his former self. This team was a mess heading into the offseason and its gonna take a lot to fix, the Texans had much fewer holes to fill.

The Redskins couldn't move the football to save their lives and will be a huge challenge for Shanahan and co. Given that I trust the offensive scheme being implemented there, I'm willing to accept that this will improve greatly. Their defense is one of the best units in the league yes. But they're coming off a 4-12 season, I want to see the winning product first before I say they're on par with Houston.

If the Redskins can get their offense in shape, they can be on level with the Texans. However I can't agree with you on the Giants. They had a lot of holes to fill this offseason and I'm not sure they did that. Also with both of these teams, they're harboring some discontents (Haynesworth, Umenyiora) that you don't see in the Texans locker room. I think at this moment, the Texans are definitely ahead of both of those programs.

Carolina Panthers have 30/1 odds?! With as much as they've lost in ry off season, not much experience at all at QB, that seems very off.

With that running attack, they don't need much from the QB spot. They just need the QB to not be stupid (like Delhomme gets from time to time.)

True, but if your gonna rely heavily on the run game, you better have a strong defense. I don't think they have a good d unit. Especially after Peppers going to Chicago.(even tho he might take plays off, he still was their best pass rusher)
