Since I am bored out of my mind I figured I'd take a shot at where and who we will pick. My rosters on madden are up to date so that is how I will determine the order, by simulating the season.

1. 49ers - RB DeAngelo Williams, Memphis
2. Browns - OT D'Brickashaw Ferguson, Virginia
3. Dophins - QB Matt Leinart, USC
4. Broncos(Redskins) - DE Mathias Kiwanuka, Boston College
5. Titans - OT Eric Winston, Miami
6. Bears - TE Marcedes Lewis, UCLA
7. Bucs - OT Jon Scott, Texas
8. Saints - LB Chad Greenway, Iowa
9. Cardinals - CB/S Jimmy Williams, Virginia Tech
10. Raiders - LB AJ Hawk, Ohio St
11. Lions - DT Rod White, Texas
12. Bills - OT Marcus McNeill, Auburn
13. Giants - DE Mario Williams, NC State
14. Jaguars - RB Reggie Bush, USC
15. Panthers - DT Jesse Mahelona, Tennesse
16. Cowboys - OT Andrew Whitworth, LSU
17. Seahawks - WR Derrick Hagan, Arizona St
18. Texans - OT Jeremy Trueblood, Boston College
19. Rams - DE Loren Howard, Northwestern
20. Broncos - Michael Huff, Texas
21. Jets - CB Jason Allen, Tennesse
22. Bengels - C Greg Eslinger, Minnesota
23. Packers - DT Gabe Watson, Michigan
24. Chiefs - WR Martin Nance, Miami (OH)
25. Ravens - G Davin Joseph, Oklahoma
26. Vikings - TE Tim Day, Oregon
27. Chargers - Laron Landry, LSU
28. Patriots - LB Abdul Hodge, Iowa
29. Colts - DT Orien Harris, Miami

thats a pretty fair list, nice job F-67 :thumbup

this is going to be the best season yet for all things football. the College game is gonna rock, Texas should be in the BCS mix, there is a great opener @ Relient Houston vs Oregon and they've done away with the AP poll. the talent is once again deep and the Texans once again have an extra 3rd round pick. here is to keeping our picks and using them ourselves. With the 1st rd pick for the Texans I really, really, really would like Jon Scott (Texas) to fall our way. First pick overall I'm sticking with Matt Leinart (USC) I feel that Miami will be selecting 1st overall via record or trade :)

I figured that Miami's defense would be good enough for them to finish a little above last.
your probably right but thats why if they don't have the 1st pick they will try to trade for the 1st pick to address the QB position, therefore either way Leinart should be the 1st pick, but yeah you never know 10 teams passed on Roethlisberger, which is who Matt reminds me of.

Very good heads up on the 2006er.

I'd probably be more inclined though to think the 49ers take the LT from UVa. to protect the new franchise though I wouldn't argue with them taking D'angelo either. If Bush is at 14 I honestly wouldn't mind Houston trading up to get him if the OT pool will be deep enough for us to pick up a stud in the 2nd round.

With the cash the 49ers spent on Jonas Jennings, I didn't think that they would shell out a lot of cash on the position two years straight. I personally think that Marcedes is going to be as good as K2 is or Antonio Gates was as a rookie.

I was also wondering if anyone had any info on Trueblood, I chose him based on nfldraftcountdown.com's rankings. Not to mention he is 6'9" 330lbs.

as good as K2? He scored ONE TD his sr year of College and 0 his first season in the NFL. He won't score any this year either.

That was a hard pick to decide, they are set with a QB and their o-line is decent enough. Their defense will be better than people think, they are set with starting LBs as well as d linemen. Their secondary will be ok if they move Rumph to FS since they got Middlebrook from DEN. They do need a big time WR, but I don't see on it this years draft worthy of being a top 5 pick.

Would anyone be against us trading UP from 18 to 14 for REGGIE BUSH? :fishing:
I would. He is a great College back but I'm not sure he will be a great pro back. I don't think he will go as high as these early projections have him slotted. They list him as 6-0 200 but he is probably smaller than that. I think Dom and Morency will be a solid combo.

After not picking up an OL in the 1st 3 rounds this year it wouldn't shock me at all. I must say if nothing else casserly keeps me confused as to which way he is drafting most years.

I like dom ......jury still out on mor. I'm just not convinced either is a franchise back. I think Bush will be wonderful as a pro back. There hasn't been someone that comes out like him that presents match up problems with that big play capability and a legitamite ability to line up at WR since faulk.

Bush is a special player who a coach can utilize best in multiple sets in varying roles, I could see him playing some running back depending on the system but generally a special teams specialist on kick-off & punt return duties. in the end he may also become a teams #2 WR. he is not the type of back I would like to expose to the beating he would endure as an NFL RB :dangit:

Last I checked our backs are not exactly BIG either. Morency is listed at 212 and Davis at 216.

Bush is not a player I expect to run the ball 30 plus a game. Though I do expect him to get 25-30 touches a game in a various amount of ways.

15-20 running, 5-10 receiving, and special teams.

I just want to put my two cents in on Reggie Bush. Reggie Bush is the same type of back as Clinton Portis. They are small scat backs that are just big enough to handle the pounding of the NFL. They are a danger to go to the house everytime they touch the ball, and the best thing about Reggie is the cat can catch the ball. If anything he will be a special return man in this league.

What does everone think of Winston Justice? He plays RT in college but Lienart is left handed, so he can most likely play LT in the nfl.

From what I've been able to pull up on the internet (which has been mostly misconduct) i'm not sure what to make of him. He'll be 21 when the season starts.

Could come out but I doubt it. Will deftinitely be labeled with character issues.

With good Nfl conditioning, Bush could probably maintain around 210- 215 .
There are plenty of good backs around 210. Just to name a few
Curtis Martin- 210
Priest Holmes-213
Clinton Portis 210
Julius Jones 205

I like DD, but Bush is a gamebreaker I'd like to have. Split their carrys and put bush in the slot 20 plays a game.

We need a Lt and I can't see us doing anything other than moving WAY up in the 1st to get one of the premier LT in the draft. Ferguson would be great, but that wont happen. Either the guy from Miami or the guy from Auburn would still be good picks.

The way I got the draft order was by simming a season in madden 2005 with up to date rosters, Degory fell because most teams in the league have decent centers and pure centers like him rarely go high.

While McKinney isn't exactly most people's ideal starting center, I think Carr needs more blind side protection.

Ya think. Can't run a double move pattern for A.J. without risking the frachise QB getting crippled for life. Got people on this thread talking up mega contract RB's who'll split carries with DD...Like Bo Pilram says, " mind boggeling". What three contracts are you fellas figuring to dumb in '06 to fit Bush in...just currious ? Love the Bears look in '05 at QB don't you ?

Very nice effort on the mock. Never too early to talk about the draft.
