Taylor good in workout

Not to rain on your parade, but we saw a lot of reports about a former Jaguar looking good in work-outs around here. None of them talked about getting a replacement in the 1st sentence and the whole thing still went south.

I sure hope he plays, otherwise I am going to have to depend on Benson or Stephen Davis to take his place on my fantasy team :dangit:

How old is Taylor now though? I mean Henry might be a good investment period since Henry still has a bit of fumblitus.

Fred is going to turn 30 or has already.

Henry will be a great addition if Taylor isn't ready by the beginning of the season.

To those of you who still have your panties in a twist over lying about an injury over the offseason of a team that isn't even "your" team, get over it. :blah:

They don't call Taylor "Tread Failure" for nothing :D
I think Toefield or Jones will be the starter by the second half of the season.

According to a league source, the Jaguars had worked out a long-term contract extension with Henry last week and offered a third-round pick to the Bills as compensation.

The Jaguars also didn't help their cause, Donahoe said, by abruptly changing their minds about acquiring Henry. Donahoe said the Jaguars decided last Monday not to pursue Henry after an apparently encouraging workout by Fred Taylor, then reversed their decision the following day.

"We were told ... by Jacksonville that they were going to work Fred Taylor out on Monday, which they did,'' Donahoe said. "We talked to them Monday afternoon, and they told us they weren't interested in Travis. They thought Fred Taylor was going to be fine when training camp started.

"So talks really heated up with Tennessee on Tuesday, and Tuesday evening, after we had verbally agreed to a deal with Tennessee, Jacksonville attempted to get back into it. I told Jacksonville Tuesday evening [that we had] a deal in principle with Tennessee.

Reading between the lines here, Taylor looked decent in his workout and said he felt fine on Monday and then was sore as heck and regressed on Tuesday. The Jags weren't just looking at Henry as a stop-gap either if they had worked out a "long-term" contract with him.
