Dunta most underrated...

TMac48

Waterboy
CBSportsline says that Dunta is the Texans most underrated player and Greenwood is the most overrated.
Underrated: Dunta Robinson, cornerback

As a rookie, Robinson was good enough to go to the Pro Bowl. He is a pure man-cover player who is silky smooth. He's the next great shutdown corner.

Overrated: Morlon Greenwood, linebacker

The Texans paid a lot of money to sign him away from Miami as a free agent, and it was a move met with a lot of skepticism around the league. He played outside for the Dolphins, but will play inside in the Texans' 3-4 defense. At 225 pounds, he's a little small for that duty.

Sweet somebody else is baggin' on the Texans, guess it time to show are true colors.....Hopefully battle red.

My Predictions:

Carr 3500 yards 23 TDs
DD 1400 Rushing 500 Recieving
AJ 1300 yds 10 TDs
D-rob and P-buc 14 interceptions total
A peek and J babin 21 sacks total
TJ 5 sacks 16 TFL

Texans record: 10-6

That would be most underrated/overrated on the Texans. Early in the article Prisco calls LaVar Arrington the most overrated player in the NFL and James Hall the most underrated.

The Texans list Greenwood at 238 lbs. Morlon probably hasn't been 225 lbs since college.

Didn't Prisco have Greenwood as one of the most overrated FA acquisitions a few months ago? I think he pasted that same blurb into this piece. Thanks for the effort, Prisco. Did Pete graduate from the John McClain School of Journalism?

Nationally, nobody (in the media) ever rated Greenwood too high so calling him overrated is a joke. Greenwood is plenty big enough to play his position and has been characterized as "ideal" by the coaching staff. Prisco's commentary is always a day late and a dollar short in any case.

I agree that most of this would be nice, but the 14 picks and 21 sacks is a little over the mark. Let's hope for 10 picks and 16 sacks, also 16 TFL's I think is a bit high.

hey the texans had i think 22 picks last year total i dont see how D-rob and p-buch together couldnt get 14.

I'll take our coaching staff's opinions over some fishrag hack anyday. (gotta' wonder if all the writers were so darn smart, then why aren't they working on an NFL team staff? :heh: )

But keep 'em coming. This kind of stuff can inspire players to prove the naysayers wrong, and I'd love to see Greenwood play inspired ball and shove it in their faces.

14 is a lot between two people. ed reed had 8 ints last year which lead the nfl so having one with 8 and one with 6 or both with 7 is pretty near impossible. i think 10 or 11 is realistic, and with better coverage linebackers we could easily have more picks than last year.

Where did you get the TJ, Peek, and Babin stats from..........Madden!!!

Why don't you go ahead and set your Madden game to the All-Madden difficulty level, play a season and then tell me what our stats are gonna be.

I like the optimism though.

so ed reed had 8 and robinson had 6. Glenn put up 5, 6 plus 5 equals 11 picks. so what is realistic to you is already reality, yes Glenn isnt with us any more but P-buch put up 5 INT's last year and with our coaching staff i bet he and D-rob will both put up 7 if not more. so i think 14 INT's between d-rob and P-buch is very realitstic.

no way, last year dunta got a lot of balls thrown his way because he was a rookie getting picked on. this year expect him to be more of a shut down corner, not getting as many passes thrown to him. and buchannon will not have a better season than he did last year because the afc west is a very weak receiver divison, whereas the afc south has very many talented receivers

k i was wrong p-buch only had 3 INT's but only one was agaisnt an AFC west team, one was agaisnt the Colts whom we play twice a year and we only managed 2 INT's from them. and the other INT he had was agaisnt the bucs. and goin back the one in the AFC west was agaisnt Denver who doesnt have a bad group of WR. so you cant use an argument like he plays in a week Wr division when he faces them twice a year, thats 6 games outa 16. leaving him 10 games agaisnt non AFC west teams. so again i beilive its very realistic that between them both they can get 14 INT's. and towards the end of the year most QB's werent throwing D-robs way and he still managed to make plays. this next year i think whatever side the QB throws to hes taking a chance. cause D-rob we know is pro bowler type caliber and with Hoke coaching P-buch you never know he can explode. im very confident in them both and the D-rob gettin alot of INT's because QB's were trying to pick on him for being a rookie argument is so funny. Once he picks you off and proves to be consistent you're not goin to keep picking on him. the QB had to either chose Glenn or D-rob......hhhmm and either way D-rob still had the picks.

I just find it funny that he calls Greenwood the most overrated Texans player. He hasn't even played a down for us yet. No one knows how he is going to do in our system, so to jump the gun and go ahead and call the guy overrated is a little premature. Atleast allow the man to prove or disprove himself on the field first.

i still dont see 14 between the two happening

Madden football is too easy. Even on All-Madden. I got a franchise going and Carr threw 62 TD's, Davis had 22 rushing TDs, AJ caught 29 TDs, and Babin had 21 sacks... I averaged like 70 points a game

well maybe you shouldn't take advatage of the game's glitches and it might be a little tougher, or adjust the sliders.

I dont see how Dunta is underrated. He had an awesome season last year and everyone realizes that. He was also second in the voting for defensive ROY. Maybe someone like Davis should of got it.

The Texans have a solid secondary for sure. Who are they gonna pick on this year? Dunta again? or P-buch? maybe Coleman? Tough assignment for any opposing QB. We are gonna see a lot of running and play action to keep our secondary from getting solid jumps. Also, dont forget penalties are key at the CB position. No matter the quickness or speed if the CB's cant control there contact they might as well be Laural and Hardy out there.

I think that the most overrated is Antwan Peek, because everybody thinks that he's going to finish the problems with the pass rush, but he hasnt started more than 4 games, but also, he's the most underrated for the other teams, because they don't now that he's one of the better puss rusher, but if he isn't good enough covering the `pass

Teams will target Showtime, just as they did when he was a Raider. At least until he proves to them it's a bad idea.
