We need to get our act together. Is it the same suspects from last year, plus a few extras?

So far I know: Ted, Kat, Lynn, Dave C. and :glasshalffull:

Andrew, are you and Amy in with us again (please)?

I can go register the team, if nobody else has yet.
 
I think andrew and amy might have rigistered already and I think they registered me for margaritas. If you need me to call them I will let me know? I am sure they are going, not sure of the registration.
 
If someone in blue crew is already doing margaritas we can work together or I can help with ingredients and supplies, please let me know.
 
Joe Texan and Bronco Billy have it under controll and will win just like last year
I just might alter the chili recipe but not to worry you will like it
Beware Ted, I got your number and will not take second seat to you again.
Now the taters are cooking this year.

If your not with me your against me and Bronco Billy. We are in this for the Win Every year but we are really in this for Gary cause we have been in it for Gary since I first Met the little guy. WE LOVE YOU GARY AND WE WILL SHOW YOU SOME GOOD CHILI AND TATERS AND MARGARITAS

I hadn't heard anything so I signed up Amy, myself, Danny, Jose' and Jody as a chilli cook off crew. We can all park next to eachother if yall want and party. I may need to bum some stuff anyways ;).

Thanks, for starting this thread. Joe signed him and Billy up though and I am not sure how you all want to work it either all of you join together to party or break up to form your own team.

Forming your own team would work well too as the more teams there are the better.

We registered them already to Bubba's and Rblok.
 
I might pop in for a second...but I had MAJOR heartburn after last year. Sampling that many different types of chili...isn't good for someone who doesn't eat much meat.
 
Rblok is taking care of the judges. Do not come to me with any complaints, LOL. Rblok owns Houston Golf Magazine and they are going to take care of the golf tourney, Eric Winston hosting. Remember, just have a good time.
 
REMEMBER, if you have a lot of people on your team, you can only turn in one of each. So if two people want to make different margaritas they cannot. The team can only turn in one. I am just letting everyone know now.

Hey Gary and Joe, I have never been and Im making Margaritas, I know the web site says to bring at least 3 gallons, but how many gallons do yall think I really need. I guess im asking do we share with everybody or who all drinks from your margaritas?

Also for margaritas do all of the ingredients need to be mixed there, or can you have some things already done at home?
 
I think mix it there and it is drink till you cannot drink no more I believe, Make sure you have enough for the judges and i THINK THE JUDGING IS AT 4 OR SO I was wrong about 7pm

Part of the cookoff is the sampling, people buy wristbands and come around and sample what everyone is cooking. Last year there were different colored wristbands for minors. The team members get free wristbands (I think). So you need enough to serve the people attending the event. Make sure you save some off for the judging, we set some aside early so we wouldn't run out.

Long answer, but that is why each team needs to provide a minimum amount, so the crowds get their money's worth.

Last year we did everything on the grounds.

I think the contest provides the sample cups. I was going to buy some of the small size Styrofoam coffee cups for backup.

We will probably be making the 3 gallons suggested by the rules.
 
When you make the margarita, chili and potato salad there has to be enough for the public to taste. We are supplying the cups and spoons for tasting. Last year a few teams did not have enough to keep going with the public. This year the entry for the public is $10.00 which includes tasting and an Rblok card. The card may be used for discounts around town.
The tasting was great last year.
 
I am bringing Chili, Billy is the Margaritas Man, No matter how much he brings we always run out.

Not really sure how much fits in the machine but we will fill it up till we run out. 2 to 3 gallons is plenty cause we all got some and I think I will tryem All.

I got a feeling we will Have a Texan Bill sighting and if that is true, Well just read some other posts. Anywho it will be great to see everyone and lets all raise some Money for Gary.
 
I know I don't generally brag or boast but I do have to say that Yall may be in trouble in the chilli dept. this year. Jose' would make Bobby Flay look like he works at Waffle House. Amy will be trying something a little different to shoot for first place with in the potato salad dept. and I have full confiedence in Danny on the Margarita's. Joe Texan don't worry they do make 2nd place trophies so you'll be fine :ahhaha:
