Since Drew Brees started playing with the Saints:

Drew Brees
18298
122/57 TD-INT
1572/2355 = 66.8% completion
11.64 yds. per completion
1 Ring
1 SB MVP

Peyton Manning
16939 yards
122/51 TD-INT
1463/2198 = 66.6% (how appropriate)
11.58 yds. per completion
1 Ring
1 SB MVP

About the only thing Manning has that Drew Brees doesn't is regular season MVP awards. Judging by the stats, he probably should have.

I already posted in the game thread that the experts need to start comparing Brees with the all time greats. He is not there yet, but another two or three years of the same, he should be mentioned with Elway, Montana, and the Staubachs of the world.

He's already among the best of the single ring winners, IMO. He almost broke Marino's single season passing record last year and did not have a 1000-yd. receiver. So he's shown he can put up numbers better than anyone, and now he's shown he can perform on the big stage.

Very good stats to post. I've been saying this though. Manning is great, but he gets more accolades than what some other QB's get that have been right there with him. Personally I thought Brees or Rodgers should have gotten the MVP this year over Manning, and the fact that they hadn't gotten it ever should have meant something to me. Manning shouldn't have gotten the award last season in my eyes either. He's great and belongs in the discussion, but I don't think he should have won it the last two seasons.
