Laid back Kubiak interview out of Denver

Great interview and thank you for posting!!:goodpost:

Its great to see our local media getting that scoop with Slaton having neck surgery 2 weeks ago!! :sarcasm:

Well, the good news is it certainly doesn't sound like they are going to stand pat with the interior OLine. So fellow Studdard detractors will be happy to hear that. And, everyone but 76Texan will be happy to hear that center will likely be a point of emphasis as well.

Why is that?

Why is that?
Kubiak said in the interview, "We've got to get better up front." I guess dalemurphy thinks that means replacing Myers. Maybe it's just the guys we have need to improve? I don't have a clue as to what Kubiak meant. Other than just stating the obvious. Stating the obvious and tossing out clichés.

Gary Kubiak is in the Biggio/Bagwellian class of cliché tossing.

You can hear in that interview how much more respect he has for those guys compared to the Houston media....he answers Chronicle reporters like he's speaking to 3 year olds

I understand the belief that Kubiak should be gone, and the reasons behind it, but yesterday, you were criticizing (via sarcasm) the folk who believe everything Kubes does is right. I think you better take a look at the other side of the same mirror.

An off-season interview not long before the draft and free agency, with a local reporter in another city, and you're criticizing him for not saying anything you find meaningful? I mean c'mon, just like not everything he does/says can be good, it can't all be bad either.

Yeah, there's no way of telling what he meant.

Guess we gotta take it one day at a time. And as long as we come to play and give it 110 percent we'll take it to the next level. :kitten:

looks more like an observation than critique to me. Lucky was the one saying that focusing on Myers was reading way too much into that interview.

Well, but he's not accountable to the Denver media anymore. So he can be more relaxed. The Houston media is likely going to challenge him more, so that puts him on the defensive.

Are you serious? The Houston Media will challenge him? Never have, never will.

You have to remember that in Denver, Kubiak is still loved. He is connected with Elway so in this town he can do no wrong. There were a bunch of people here that hoped Kubes would get fired in Htown so that they could hire him to lead the Broncos.

The Myers bit a was reach by me in order to light a fire under 76Texans' butt.

However, it was very clear from the interview that he is focused on improving the interior line play. When asked about Slaton's decline, he blamed a good deal of his play on the backup guards. Then, he insisted that they must improve in that area... in order to run the ball better. It was the only position on the team that he specificly called out.

Well, maybe if they'd quit acting like 3 year olds . . .

Just listened to it, nice interview, but didn't hear much of anything I haven't already heard a thousand times. Except for the news about Slaton's surgery. I hope that went well.
