Chris Kuper

If they would do it for a 5th or 6th knock out the deal.

He wasn't as good run blocking in McDaniel's offense this year, so I don't think Kuper fits with the direction Denver is going. I could see them giving him the low tender and opting not to match a decent offer.

He may not be an all pro but I think he'd probably be better than Pitts/Studdard/Brisiel/Caldwell/etc. He would come in and instantly be our starting LG or RG. He'd also be better next year than any rookie we put in that position. I definitely say do it.

He's one of my favorite FA acquisitions because (i) he knows the system, (ii)he knows kubiak and dennison, (iii) he's young/long-term guy, (iv) he starts day 1, (v) he frees up the draft for us to address another position early.

All I know is he gave up zero sacks with Kyle Stinking Orton at QB...he's better than what we have.

His zero sack season was 2008.

2008 16 games 0 sacks 3 holds 1 false start 34 QB pressures
2009 15 games 5 sacks (41 yards lost) 2 holds 2 false starts 17 QB pressures

Sums up well the reasons to go after him.

Could push our need back for a guard, but getting a quality center or guard so Caldwell can go back to center should still be on the priority list.
